Special Order made by the Council of the County of Eketa-huna.

THE following special order, made by the Eketa-huna County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Eketa-huna County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Eketa-huna County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” for the purpose of building a traffic-bridge across the Hukanui Stream on the Kakariki Road, in the Eketa-huna County, the said Eketa-huna County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hukanui Traffic-bridge Loan (£200) Special-rating District, comprising Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21; 22, 23, 24, 25, of Block IV, Tararua Survey District, and Sections 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, and part 16 (199 acres) of Block I, Mangaone Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid on such loan to be at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year to be paid out of the loan.
The above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 14th day of August, 1909, and was confirmed at a special meeting held on the 11th day of September, 1909.

THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, being 10 per cent. on a loan of £500 already raised for the purpose of constructing protective works in the Otaki River Special-rating District, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2/10d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Otaki River Special District, comprising parts 7, 8, and 9, parts 10 and 4A, Waiohanga, and part Waiohanga 4 MR, Block IV, Kaitawa Survey District; as the same is shown on the plan of the aforesaid special district; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a special order adopted at a special meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 11th day of September, 1909, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 9th day of October, 1909.

THE following special order, made by the Waitomo County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the provisions of section 15 of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening and metalling that portion of the Otorohanga-Hangatiki Road commencing from the north-east corner of Section 9 to the southern corner of Section 2 of Block VIII, Orahiri Survey District, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound on the basis of the capital valuation of all rateable property in the Mataparu Special-rating District, comprising the whole of Sections 2, 3, 4, 5; 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of Block VII, Orahiri, and Orahiri No. 1 Section 22 Block; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years at 3½ per cent. per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off; and it is the intention to pay out of loan the cost of raising same and the first year’s interest.
The above resolution was duly passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Waitomo County Council held in Mr. E. Kerr’s commercial room, Te Kuiti, on the 20th September, 1909, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 25th October, 1909.
