SPECIAL ORDER made by the Castlepoint County Council
on the 14th day of August, 1909, and confirmed on the
25th day of September, 1909.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the
Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows: That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a further application for an additional loan of £80,
under the provisions of section 70 of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1908,” being 10 per cent. on a loan of
£800, authorised and raised by the Castlepoint County
Council for forming and fencing the road from Wha-
kataki to Castlepoint, the said loan being insufficient
to complete the work, hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 2½d. in the pound on the rateable valuation
of all rateable property comprised within the special-rating
area as described in the special order levying the special
rate for the loan of £800; such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the above special
order was made at a special meeting of the Castlepoint
County Council on the 14th day of August, 1909, and was
confirmed on the 25th day of September, 1909.

Woodville.

THE following special order, made by the Woodville
Borough Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Wood-
ville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for
the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a
loan of £1,400, authorised to be raised by the Woodville
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of extending the water-mains on the western side of
the borough by laying mains in Vogel Street, Woodlands
Road, Lower Woodlands Road, Hampson Street, Stanley
Street, and York Terrace, and laying service-pipes to the
boundaries of sections; also extension of present mains in
Sowry Road, Fergusson Street, Normanby Street, and Bowen
Street, the said Woodville Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of 1s. 6¼d. in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the special-
rating area — bounded on the north by Sowry Road, on
the east by the eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 8 and
120, and on the south by the Government railway-line,
and on the west by the Woodlands Road from the rail-
way - line to Sowry Road; and that such special rate
shall be an annual - recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day
of March and 30th day of September in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-
one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

And that a special meeting of Woodville Borough Council
will be held in the Council Chambers on Thursday, the 21st
day of October, 1909, at 4 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of
confirming the said special order.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was duly
adopted by the Woodville Borough Council at a special meet-
ing held on the 21st day of September, 1909, and was duly
confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council held on
the 21st day of October, 1909.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Hamil-
ton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for
the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on
a loan of £2,100, authorised to be raised by the Hamilton
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of laying and constructing pipes for the supply of
water and other waterworks within the area hereinafter
mentioned, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon
the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rate-
able property of the special-rating area, comprising all that
part of the Borough of Hamilton, being part of the Town of
Hamilton East, bounded commencing at a point on the
Waikato River by a line, being the south-eastern boundary-
line of Allotment 219 of the Parish of Kirikiriroa, produced
to the Waikato River; thence by the said Allotment 219, a
line across Heaphy Terrace, Allotment 220 of the Parish of
Kirikiriroa, and a line across a road 100 links wide to the
north-east corner of Allotment 413 of the Town of Hamilton
East; thence by an education reserve to a point in Clyde
Street opposite the north-west corner of Allotment 53 of the
Town of Hamilton East; thence by a line across Clyde
Street, Allotments 53, 52, and 51A of the Town of Hamilton
East, a line across Cook Street, Allotments 54, 55, 56, 57,
and 58 of the Town of Hamilton East, a line across Wellin-
ton Street, and Allotments 153, 152, and 151 of the Town of
Hamilton East, to the north-west corner of Allotment 148
of the Town of Hamilton East; thence by Allotments 147,
146, and 145 of the Town of Hamilton East, a line across
Nixon Street, Allotments 138, 137, 136, 135, 134, and 133 of
the Town of Hamilton East, a line across Firth Street,
Allotments 129, 128, 127, and 124 of the Town of Hamilton
East, a line across Heaphy Terrace, and Allotments 112 and
107 of the Town of Hamilton East, to the north-west corner
of the said Allotment 107; thence by the said Allotment 107
to its southern corner; thence by a line across McFarlane
Street and Allotment 100 of the Town of Hamilton East to
the eastern corner of Allotment 102 of the Town of Hamilton
East; thence by the said Allotment 102 to its northern
corner; thence by the said Allotment 102 and Allotments
103 and 83 of the Town of Hamilton East to the north-west
corner of the said Allotment 83; thence by Whitaker Street
to the Waikato River; thence by the Waikato River to the
commencing-point: and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st
day of October in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.
