  1. That, for the purpose of providing the Woodville Borough Council’s share of the cost of the reconstruction of the Lower Manawatu Gorge Bridge, the said Woodville Borough Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £1,253 17s. 3d. at 3½ per centum per annum for forty-one years.

  2. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in terms of section 118 of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” dated the 19th day of April, 1906, the Woodville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,253 17s. 3d. sterling, authorised to be raised by the Woodville Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the Woodville Borough Council’s share of the cost of the reconstruction of the Lower Manawatu Gorge Bridge, such loan to be at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum for a period of forty-one years, the said Woodville Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁵⁄₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the boundaries of the Borough of Woodville; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

And that a special meeting of the Borough Council will be held in the Council Chambers on Saturday, the 9th day of October, 1909, at 4 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of confirming the said special orders.

HUNTERVILLE TOWN BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Hunter ville Town Board, held at the Board’s office, Bruce Street, Hunter ville, on the 16th day of August, 1909, it was resolved that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Hunter ville Town Board doth hereby resolve by special order,—

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of £500, authorised to be raised, under “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, for the purpose of providing a mechanical filter for the water reservoir of the Hunter ville Town District, the said Hunter ville Town Board makes and levies a special rate of ²⁄₂₅d. in the pound sterling on the capital value of all rateable property within the Hunter ville Town District; such rate to be an annual-recurring rate, payable annually on 1st day of July in every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years from the 1st day of August, 1909, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Hunter ville Town Board was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Commissioners in the presence of—

Notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Hunter ville Town Board, held at the Board’s office, Bruce Street, Hunter ville, on Monday, the 16th day of August, 1909, it was resolved that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Hunter ville Town Board doth hereby resolve by special order,—

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised, under “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, for the purpose of providing for the lighting of the Hunter ville Town District, the said Hunter ville Town Board makes and levies a special rate of ⁶⁄₂₅d. in the pound sterling on the capital value of all rateable property within the Hunter ville Town District; such rate to be an annual-recurring rate, payable annually on the 1st day of July in every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-one years from the 1st day of August, 1909, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special orders, made by the Castlepoint County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Castlepoint County Council on the 14th day of August, 1909, and confirmed on the 25th day of September, 1909.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Castlepoint County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Taueru River on the Alfredton-Tinui Road, the said Castlepoint County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₄d. in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprised within the following special-rating area, as follows—Sections 823, 170, 160, 168, 169, Block XV, Puketoi Survey District; Sections 824, 155, 156, 159, 826, 397, 898, Block III; 825, 827, 829, 828, 830; 831, 832, 833, 834, 115, 116, 117, Blocks III and IV; 118, 119, 121, Block VII, all in Mangapakeha Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above special order was made at a special meeting of the Castlepoint County Council on the 14th day of August, 1909, and confirmed on the 25th day of September, 1909.
