NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease, and applications will be received at this office and at the Princess Theatre, Hastings, on Wednesday, the 24th day of March, 1909, up to 4 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908,” and “The Land for Settlements Act, 1908.”

Rural Land.

Situated from about nineteen miles from Hastings. Fifteen acres in bush and scrub, 15 acres in swamp, and the balance undulating country in English and native pasture. The soil is light and mostly of even quality; subsoil clay, with limestone outcrop. Range of altitude above sea-level varies from about 1,200 ft. to 2,000 ft. The section is watered by a stream. There is a school at Waimarama, and this town promises, in the near future, to be a favourite watering-place and holiday resort.

The improvements which go with the land comprise fencing valued at £63 15s. 6d.

LOCALITY AND DESCRIPTION.

Situated about nineteen to twenty-three miles from Hastings, the nearest sections being about three miles distant from the sea-coast at Waimarama.

The country—a large portion of which is in English and native pasture—may generally be classed as pastoral. The soil is light and mostly of even quality; subsoil clay, with limestone outcrop. Range of altitude above sea-level varies from about 1,200 ft. to 2,000 ft.

On some of these sections there are patches of mixed bush in gullies.

All of the sections are watered more or less by streams and springs.

There is a school at Waimarama; and this town promises, in the near future, to be a favourable watering-place and holiday resort.
