THE following special order, made by the Mataura Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908."

BOROUGH OF MATAURA.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," the Mataura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of Β£1,300, authorised to be raised by the Mataura Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the acquisition of Section 5 and part Section 54, Block III, Tuturau Survey District, containing 58 acres and 5 perches, more or less, for the purpose of a sewage-farm and sanitary works, under "The Public Health Act, 1908," and the erection of necessary buildings thereon, and the providing of suitable plant therefor, the said Mataura Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound on the annual value of all rateable property of the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan during a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above special order was duly passed and adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on the 22nd day of December, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 21st day of January, 1909.
