Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him
by The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, hereby
guarantee the said loan, subject to the provisions of
“The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908,” as aforesaid.

under Part II of “The Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908.”

At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day
of October, 1909.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me
by The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that
behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do
hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation
purposes in the Manawatu Land District, generally known
as the Tokorangi Domain, the boundaries whereof are set
forth in the Schedule hereto, and which is more particularly
described therein, shall hereafter be known as Tokorangi
Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a
public domain.
SCHEDULE.
TOHORANGAPOTU DOMAIN, CLIFTON COUNTY.
ALL that parcel of land situate in the Clifton County,
containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 2 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 4, Block XII, Tahoranga Survey District, and
being a recreation-reserve: bounded towards the north-east by
a road-line, 300 links; towards the south-east by other part of
Section No. 4, Block XII, Tahoranga Survey District, 672.7 links;
towards the south-west by View Terrace, 75.4 links; towards
the south-east by the said View Terrace, 69.5 links; towards the
south-west by the said View Terrace, 45.4 links; towards the
north-west by Pilot Road, 387.7 links; be all the aforesaid
measurements more or less: as the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. 1384, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

being part of Rural Section No. 91, Block XVI, Christchurch
Survey District: bounded towards the north by Rural Sections
13, 14, on D.P. 1261, 1474.7 links; thence towards the
west, towards the south by Rural Section 106, 1266.6 links;
towards the east by Rural Section 105, 1266.6 links; and towards
the north by Rural Section 104, 1474.7 links; be all the aforesaid
measurements more or less: as the same is delineated on the

ALL that parcel of land situate in the Maniototo County,
containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 22 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 1, Block VIII, Maniototo Survey District,
and being a recreation-reserve: bounded towards the north-east
by a road-line, 800 links; towards the south-east by a road-line,
880 links; towards the south-west by a road-line, 800 links;
towards the north-west by a road-line, 880 links; be all the
aforesaid measurements more or less: as the same is delineated
on the plan marked S.O. 5299/13, deposited in the Survey Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Validating Notification in connection with a Loan of £2,300
proposed to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day
of October, 1909.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an extraordinary Gazette notice recently
published, it was notified that the Motueka Borough Council
proposed to raise a loan of Two thousand three hundred
pounds (£2,300) for the purpose of carrying out the work of
constructing, maintaining, and repairing waterworks for the supply
of water to the Borough of Motueka and surrounding districts and
the providing of completing and fitting out the necessary
plant, machinery, and appliances and the acquisition of the necessary
lands, easements, rights-of-way, and other things incident thereto
and providing lighting-mains:
And whereas the said notice of poll was signed by the Returning-
Officer, but was not by the Mayor, as required by section
six of the said Act;
And whereas the said irregularity has heretofore been overlooked
by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate
the said proceedings:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred upon him by section eight of The Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby order and declare that such notice and all proceedings
had in connection with the raising of the said loan of Two
thousand three hundred pounds (£2,300) shall be and be deemed to
have been properly and regularly given, and that the borrowing
of such moneys is hereby validated for all purposes,
notwithstanding any irregularity or defect whatsoever:
And for all purposes in connection with the said loan, the
Governor doth hereby further order and declare that no question
by reason only of the irregularities as aforesaid.
