Lands temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block IX, Manganui Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by the Murumuru Road, towards the east generally by the Raetihi–Ohura Road, and towards the south and west by Section No. 2, Block IX, Manganui Survey District. For a site for a public school.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block IX, Manganui Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by the Ruatiti Stream, and by Section No. 7 of Block IX aforesaid; and towards the south-east and south-west generally by a road and river-bank reserve, 1 chain in width, along the north bank of the Manganui-a-te-ao River. For a resting-place for travelling stock.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 5340/3, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Lands temporarily reserved for Road and Railway Protection Purposes in the Southland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for road and railway protection purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 61 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 16 and 17, Block XI, Longwood Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 3566·7 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 18, Block XI, Longwood Survey District, 2734·4 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 1938·6 links; and towards the west by a public road, 2232·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 24 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, being Section No. 2, Block VIII, Longwood Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 1211·2 links; towards the east by a public road, 2212·6 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 1288·3 links; and towards the west by Section No. 3, Block VIII, Longwood Survey District, 1980·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 7157/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Portion of Waitakerei River, Auckland Land District, notified under “The Timber-floating Act, 1908.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the second section of the Timber-floating Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the portion of the Waitakerei River extending from Section 86, Parish of Waitakerei, Waitemata County, Auckland Land District, to the mouth, may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Appointing Commissioners to classify Pastoral Runs in Otago Land District.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the two-hundred-and-twenty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ERNEST HERBERT WILMOT,
GEORGE LIVINGSTONE, and
JOHN ANDREW MACPHERSON

Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural lands in Otago Land District known as Runs Nos. 243, 424A, 425B, 417, 418 and 431, 206E, 14 (Wakatipu), 306A 243A, and 243B, 134A, and Section 2, Block IV, Kakanui Survey District; 334C, 334D, 334, 334B; Sections 1 and 2, Block III, Cairnhill Survey District; 1 (Tuapeka); Sections 3, Block VIII, and 1, Block IX, Waihemo Survey District; 99; Sections 7, 8, and part 3, Block III, Cairnhill Survey District; and 46, Block II, 4, 6, 7, 8, and parts 2 and 3, Block V, 2 and parts 3 and 4, Block VIII, and part 12, Block IX, Teviot Survey District; 25 (Wakatipu); and Sections 20, Block II, and 4 to 6, Block III, Cairnhill Survey District, as provided by section two hundred and twenty-five of “The Land Act, 1908.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and nine; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908,”
