Fixing Season for Godwits (Curlew).

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, 1909.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Animals Protection Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the season during which godwits (Limosa baueri; Native name, kuaka or hakakao) may be killed shall be the first day of January to the thirty-first day of March, both days inclusive, in each year:

Provided, however, that no such birds shall be trapped, netted, snared, or taken by any other means prohibited by “The Animals Protection Act, 1908.”

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Kohukohu Domain.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Kohukohu Domain, and doth hereby appoint

THOMAS HARTLEY,
ARTHUR POTTER,
GEORGE ERNEST HALLIWELL, and
JOHN NICHOLSON

to be the Kohukohu Domain Board, having, subject to the said Act, control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Kohukohu Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the twentieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall, Kohukohu, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

KOHUKOHU DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District being Sections Nos. 2 and 3, Town of Kohukohu (Government), and containing by admeasurement 1 rood 30 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Maning Street, 307·6 links; towards the east by Section No. 4, 92·2 links; towards the south-east by Beach Road, 140·4 links; towards the south-west and south generally by Section No. 6, 111·3 links and 120 links, and by Section No. 5, 60 links; and towards the west by Section No. 1, 118·7 links: all of the aforesaid town: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1051, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Block X, Mangamuka Survey District, being a portion of the foreshore of the Hokianga River, and containing by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the west and north-west generally, commencing at peg VIA, by a public road, 732·6, 382·6, 551·1, 658·9, and 231·1 links, to peg XIIIA; towards the north-west and south-east by right lines bearing 110° 29′, 496·6 links, and 200° 29′, 2289·6 links, respectively, to peg VIA aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 35927/17, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and two, delegating powers to the Mount Wellington Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

to be the Mount Wellington Domain Board, having, subject to the said Act, control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Mount Wellington Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Panmure Public Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District being part of Allotments Nos. 56 and 64 of Section No. 12, Suburbs of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 60 acres and 17 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of Allotment No. 56 aforesaid, 1759·1 links; towards the east generally by Lots Nos. 13 and 12 of Section No. 2, small lots near the Village of Panmure, by the termination of a public road 100 links wide, and by Lots Nos. 11 and 10 of Section No. 2, small lots near Village of Panmure aforesaid, 432·6, 729·5, 101·6, 751·2, and 570·6 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 843·3 and 358·3 links; towards the north-west by part of Lot No. 64 aforesaid, 669·8 links; again towards the south-east by part of Lot No. 64 aforesaid, 1400·1 links; towards the south-east by part of Lot No. 64 aforesaid, 650 links; again towards the south-west by Lot No. 3 of Section No. 2, small lots near Panmure aforesaid, 377·1 links; again towards the north-west by Lot No. 2 of Section 2 aforesaid, 310·4 links; again towards the south-east by Lot No. 2 aforesaid, 526·2 links; and again towards the north-west by Allotments Nos. 51 and 50 of Section No. 12, Suburbs of Auckland, aforesaid, 138·2, 1372·1, 515, and 643·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1256, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, being Lots Nos. 51, 51A, 55, and part of Lot No. 56 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure, Parish of Waitemata, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 33 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 520 links; towards the east and north-west by Lot No. 53 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 350 and 420 links; towards the north-east by Lot No. 54 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 600 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 588 links; towards the south-west by the other part of Lot No. 56 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 609·7 links; again towards the south-east by the other part of Lot No. 56 aforesaid, and by Lot No. 43 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 596 links; towards the west by Lot No. 52 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 950 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1256A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
