KAIRARA KAURI-GUM RESERVE.

Reserve cancelled: Land set apart in lieu thereof.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,920 acres, more or less, situated in Block XVI, Tutamoe Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a right line running due east from the western boundary of Block XVI, Tutamoe Survey District, to the southernmost angle of Section No. 1 of that block, by said Section No. 1, and by Te Karaka Block; towards the east by a right line running parallel to and at a distance of 12000 links in a westerly direction from the eastern boundary of Block XVI aforesaid; towards the south by a right line running parallel to and at a distance of 2000 links in a northerly direction from the southern boundary of the same block; and towards the west by Block XV, Tutamoe Survey District, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5256/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,227 acres 1 rood, more or less, situated in Block XVI, Tutamoe Survey District, and Block IV, Kaihu Survey District. Commencing at a peg on the south boundary of Te Karaka Block, and known as Hinuotekuri, a distance of 614916·4 links north, and 412293·7 links west, of Mount Eden Trig. Station. Bounded towards the north-east by Te Karaka Block, bearing 107°18′30″, 3619·1 links: towards the east generally by western boundary-lines of Section No. 2, Block XVI, Tutamoe Survey District, of the following bearings and linkages—199°43′30″, 3062·3 links; 198°9′, 2266·3 links; 122°22′45″, 2582 links; 167°33′20″, 2714·7 links; and 205°16′15″, 2707·5 links: towards the south-east by lines of the following bearings and linkages—246°10′45″, 1559·9 links; 194°9′15″, 1257·4 links; and 221°57′, 792·6 links: towards the south-west by lines of the following bearings and linkages—338°27′15″, 4623·2 links; and 308°34′10″, 2707·5 links: again towards the south-east by lines of the following bearings and linkages—251°49′30″, 2065·9 links; and 212°20′30″, 2180·7 links: again towards the south-west by lines of the following bearings and linkages—281°57′30″, 3148 links; 301°56′20″, 2894 links; 314°37′, 353·3 links; and 342°10′20″, 2789·9 links: towards the north-west by lines of the following bearings and linkages—6°32′, 1206·7 links; 17°14′, 829·8 links; and 57°56′, 325·8 links: towards the north-east by lines of the following bearings and linkages—91°44′10″, 3090·3 links; 104°58′, 378·7 links; 136°0′30″, 781·3 links; 138°2′30″, 647·3 links; and 122°58′, 810·7 links: and again towards the north-west by a line bearing 48°35′15″, 9007 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5256/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Consenting to closing a Road in Block VIII, Glenomaru Survey District, Clutha County.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, 1909.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Clutha County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Clutha County Council closing the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Exempting Bell Road, Remuera Road District, from the Provisions of Section 117 of “The Public Works Act, 1908.”

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, 1909.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified street or road, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:

And whereas on the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine, the Remuera Road Board, the local authority having control of the portion of the road known as Bell Road, described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said portion of road:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.

SCHEDULE.

That portion of road in the Remuera Road District, Auckland Land District, known as Bell Road, commencing at its junction with Arney Road, and running along the frontages of Sections 29 and 27 and part of Section 24, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 25243, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
