NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1908,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 13th day of September, 1909.

THE AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER.

“THAT the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board, in pursuance of the powers conferred on it by ‘The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act, 1908,’ doth hereby, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, make the following by-laws, to be known as ‘The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board By-laws No. 1 Standing Orders’”:

The object or purport of the said by-laws is as follows:—
“Provides for regulating the proceedings of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board.”

The foregoing special order was made at a special meeting of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board, convened on the requisition of the Chairman, under date of 21st day of June, 1909, and held on the 28th day of June, 1909. It was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald on the 29th June, 12th and 26th July, 1909, the Auckland Star on 5th and 19th July, and the Observer on 29th June and 12th July, 1909; confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on Wednesday, 28th July, 1909, and the by-laws ordered to come into force and to take effect as and from the 5th day of August, 1909.

The common seal of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board was hereto affixed, this 28th day of July, 1909, in the presence of—

PRIVATE BILL.

In the matter of a proposed Bill or Act intituled “An Act to empower the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Thames to produce and supply Gas in and for the Borough of Thames and in and for the District surrounding and adjoining the Borough of Thames, and to do all such Acts as are or from time to time may be incidental or conducive to the Attainment of the above Objects.”

PURSUANT to the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to private Bills, the Thames Borough Council (the intending Petitioners) give notice that within fourteen days of the meeting of the General Assembly of New Zealand to be held next after the date of this notice a Petition will be presented to the General Assembly of New Zealand, through the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives, by them praying and applying for leave to bring in a private Bill to be called “The Thames Borough Gas Act, 1909.”
