Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nine; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908.”

Broken and undulating country, with a small kohekohe flat; about 50 acres fern, balance mixed forest, comprising dead and green kauri-trees, totara, rimu, puriri, kahikatea, miro, mahoe, taraire, kohekohe, towai, and rewarewa, with medium undergrowth of kuriwao, toikiwi, and pungas; soil of medium quality, on clay and papa formation; well watered. Distant about eleven miles from Mangonui—three miles metalled road, five miles bridle-track, balance as yet unformed.

Fronts main Kaihu-Taheke Road, about twelve miles from Taheke.

Situated about eleven miles from Kaihu Railway-station by dray-road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.
