And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The CHAIRMAN of the Whakatane County Council,

FRANKLIN HENRY BELL,
ROBERT RUDDICK,
WILLIAM LEAVER STANLEY,
WILLIAM JOHN CRAIG,
CHARLES MALCOLM GRANT, and
JAMES PALMER

to be the Waimana Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and Bell’s Hall, Waimana, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

WAIMANA DOMAIN, WHAKATANE COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 22, Waimana Settlement, situated in Block III, Waimana Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 800 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 10 of Waimana Settlement, 700 links; towards the south-west and north-west by Section No. 9 of Waimana Settlement aforesaid, 800 and 700 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1181/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council, dated the seventeenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, delegating powers to the Waipawa Town Board as a Domain Board, and an Order in Council, dated the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight, appointing the Waipawa Borough Council a Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

THE WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL

to be the Waipawa Domain Board, having, subject to the said Act, control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Waipawa Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Waipawa, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

WAIPAWA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 51 acres, more or less, being Section No. 27, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by Blocks 58, 57, 56, and 16, and Crown lands, 3126·4, 150, and 2070 links respectively; towards the east by old river-bed, 1370·3 links; and towards the south generally by old river-bed, 4779·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1118, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 105, Waipawa Borough, part Block 57, Patangata Crown Grant District. Bounded towards the north by other part of Block 57, 900 links; towards the east by other part of Block 57, 500 links; towards the south by a public street, 900 links; and towards the west by a public street, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1118A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more or less, being Section No. 16, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District (Lindsay Settlement). Bounded towards the north-east by the Waipawa River; towards the south-east by part of Block XIV, Waipukurau Crown Grant District; towards the south-west by the abutment of a road and Section No. 25, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District; and towards the north-west by a railway reserve: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1118/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 28, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District (Lindsay Settlement). Bounded towards the east by a road; towards the south by Section No. 13, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District; and towards the west by a road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1118/2B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section No. 29, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District (Lindsay Settlement). Bounded towards the north by the Waipawa River; towards the east by a railway reserve; towards the south by Section No. 24, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District; and towards the west by a road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1118/2A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
