Declaring Roads in the Kinloch Settlement, Little River
Road District, to be District Roads.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of July, 1909.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be district roads.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Kinloch Settlement, in the Canterbury Land District, Little River Road District, Akaroa County, being part of the Hikuraki Road, commencing at a point about 300 links to the westward of the water-race reserve, between Sections 18 and 24, Block V, Akaroa Survey District (being the terminus of that portion of the Hikuraki Road which was declared a district road by Order in Council in Gazette No. 28, page 1138, of 9th April, 1908), and extending generally in a south-westerly direction through and abutting on Section 24, and terminating at the sea-beach at the southernmost portion of Section 17, Block V, Akaroa Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 26 chains, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Kinloch Settlement, in the Canterbury Land District, Little River Road District, Akaroa County, being part of the Gap Road, commencing at the junction of the Peraki Road with it on the eastern boundary of Section 21, Block VI, Akaroa Survey District (being the terminus of that portion of the Gap Road which was declared a district road by Order in Council in Gazette No. 28, page 1138, of 9th April, 1908), and extending generally in a south-westerly direction along the eastern boundary of Section 21, and through Section 23, and terminating at the north-eastern corner of Section 27 and the northernmost point of Section 28, Block VI, Akaroa Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 13 chains, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Kinloch Settlement, in the Canterbury Land District, Little River Road District, Akaroa County, being part of the Peraki Road, commencing at its junction with the Gap Road, about 38 chains to the northward of the south-west corner of Section 22, Block VI, Akaroa Survey District, and extending generally first in a north-easterly and then in a south-easterly and southerly direction through Sections 22 and 23 and between Sections 29 and 30 for about 11 chains, and thence through part of Section 30, and terminating at a point about 29 chains to the south-east of the north-west corner of Section 30, Block VI, Akaroa Survey District, being a distance of 2 miles 5 chains, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Kinloch Settlement, in the Canterbury Land District, Little River Road District, Akaroa County, known as the Peraki and Wainui Road, commencing at its junction with the Peraki Bay Road, about 4 chains south-west from the north-east corner of Rural Section 31261, Block VI, Akaroa Survey District, and extending generally in a south-westerly direction through Rural Section 31261 and part of Section 30, Kinloch Settlement, and terminating at a point about 66 chains from the southern boundary of Rural Section 31261, Block VI, Akaroa Survey District, being a distance of 74 chains, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Kinloch Settlement, in the Canterbury Land District, Little River Road District, Akaroa County, known as Livingston’s Road, commencing at a point on the western boundary of Section 13 and about 40 chains from the north-west corner of Section 13, Block VII, Akaroa Survey District, and extending generally first in an easterly and then in a south-easterly direction through Section 13 and through Rural Section 34900, and terminating at its junction with the Peraki and Wainui Road, Block VII, Akaroa Survey District, being a distance of 57 chains, or thereabouts.

As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 24879, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Plumer Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seven, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Plumer Domain, and doth hereby appoint

HENRY CHARLES SWAN,
ROBERT CRANWELL,
THOMAS ROBERTS,
EDWARD HENRY HOLT, and
JOHN EDWARD WEST

to be the Plumer Domain Board, having, subject to the said Act, control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Plumer Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Saturday, the seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when and the Reading-room, Henderson, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

PLUMER DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 11, Plumer Hamlet, situated in the Parish of Waipareira (Block II, Titirangi Survey District), and containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 11 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road 100 links wide, 516·2 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 12 of the said Plumer Hamlet, 870·6 links; towards the south-west by Lot No. 31 of Section No. 7, Parish of Waipareira, 143·3 links; and towards the west generally by a public road along the Opanuku Stream, 350·8, 199, 208, 233, and 32·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19248/46, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 12, Plumer Hamlet, situated in the Parish of Waipareira (Block II, Titirangi Survey District). Bounded towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east by Section No. 13, Plumer Hamlet; towards the south-west by Lot No. 31, of Section 7, Parish of Waipareira; and towards the north-west by Section No. 11 of the aforesaid Plumer Hamlet: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1111/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Waimana Domain.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1909.

WHEREAS by section forty of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act :
