LOAN PROPOSALS.
That this Board proposes to borrow from the Colonial Treasurer, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendment, the sum of £200 for the metalling and forming of footpaths of Kirk, Bell, and Lemon Streets, Otaki Extension, the same being within the Special District No. 9. First, to make a special rate of 5/16d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable properties within the said Special District No. 9, to pay for interest on the said loan for forty-one years at 3½ per cent. per annum; second, that the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest be paid out of loan.

HOBSON COUNTY.
Special Order.—“The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hobson County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Hobson County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of excavating new drains and making creek enlargements within the Aoroa-Aratapu Drainage District of Te Kopuru Parish, in the Aratapu Riding of the Hobson County, the said Hobson County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable valuation of all the rateable property of and in the Aoroa-Aratapu Special Drainage District, and comprising Sections 14, 15, 16, 57, 45, 123, 138, 137, 124, 44, parts Ōturei Block, parts Okapakapa Block, parts Aoroa Block, Section 30, Aoroa Block, and part of Ōturei No. 2 Block, all of the Parish of Te Kopuru, and in the Aratapu Riding of the Hobson County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during a period of forty-one years, equal to the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act.
The common seal of the body corporate called the “Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Hobson County” was hereunto affixed, by direction of the Council of Hobson County, this 25th day of November, 1908, by and in the presence of—

NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and of every other power thereunto enabling it, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Northcote Borough Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” for the purpose of forming, grading, and metalling generally the roads and streets within the limits of the Borough of Northcote, the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Northcote, comprising the whole of the Borough of Northcote, as defined by Proclamation of His Excellency the Governor dated the 3rd day of December, 1907, and appearing in New Zealand Gazette No. 104, dated the 12th December, 1907; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that this special resolution do operate as a special order.
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a special order passed by the Northcote Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 21st day of December, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 19th day of January, 1909.
