Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby proclaim and declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for scenery-preservation purposes as aforesaid; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Native Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Maraetaua 1r Block, Block XIV, Ngamatea Survey District, Wanganui County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, 1909.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Maraetaua 1r Block, Block XIV, Ngamatea Survey District :
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown :
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the ninetieth section of " The Public Works Act, 1908" :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the ninetieth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said road ; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Declaring Part of Owen River Road, Inangahua County, to be a County Road.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by " The Public Works Act, 1908," and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto, known as the Owen River Road, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

SCHEDULE.
OWEN RIVER ROAD.
ALL that road in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, commencing at a point on the Belgrove-Westport-Reefton Road on the western bank of the Owen River, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of Forest Conservation and Scenic Reserve in Block VII, Matiri Survey District, to south-eastern boundary of Section 7, Block VII, Matiri Survey District ; thence in a general northerly direction along eastern boundary and through said Section 7 to southern boundary of Section 9, Block VII, Matiri Survey District ; thence in a north-easterly direction through and along eastern boundary of said Section 9 to Murray's Creek ; thence across Murray's Creek to east bank, a distance of 1 mile 54 chains. more or less ; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7690, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red, and lettered A.B.

Declaring Okotuku Road, in the Wairoa Road District, to be a District Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, 1909.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by " The Public Works Act, 1908," and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a district road.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Taranaki Land District, Wairoa Road District, known as Okotuku Road, commencing at the south-east corner of Section 460, Block XVI, Opaku Survey District, and running in a north-westerly direction along the frontage of the said Section 460 to a point 17 chains south-east of the junction with Okahutiria Road, being a distance of 1 mile 7 chains, more or less ; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 786, and coloured red, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
