Wharekopae 2A2B, Okahuatiu Nos. 1 and 1C, to the south-
western boundary of Waihuka Block; thence north-westerly
along the north-eastern boundary of Run No. 47 to the south-
eastern boundary of Section 2, Block IV, Ngatapa Survey
District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern bound-
ary of said Section 2 and Waikohu Matawai 1B Block to the
Waikohu River; thence north-westerly along the centre of the
said river to its confluence with the Rangiriri Stream; thence
north-westerly along the said stream to the western bound-
ary of Mangatu No. 3 Block; thence north-westerly along
the south-western boundaries of Mangatu No. 3 and No. 4
Blocks to the Motu River, being the point of commence-
ment.
KANAKANAIA RIDING.
All that area in the Waikohu County bounded as fol-
lows: Commencing at a point in the centre of the Waipaoa
River opposite the north-eastern boundary of Hauomatuku
No. 5B Block; thence easterly along the southern boundaries
of the Waingaromia A, 4, and C Blocks and the Kanakanaia
Settlement to the centre of the Waihora River; thence east-
erly along the said river and southern boundary of Small
Grazing-run No. 44A to the north-eastern corner of Wai-
hora No. 2B Block; thence southerly to the north-western
corner of Lot 1 of Small Grazing-run No. 44; thence east-
erly to the western boundary of Small Grazing-run No. 58;
thence northerly along the Cook County boundary to Trig.
Station No. 170, Tangihanga; thence north-westerly along a
straight line produced towards Trig. Station No. 178, stopping
at its intersection with the northern boundary of the Tuta-
moe Block; thence south-westerly by the north-western
boundary of the Tutamoe Block to the Waipaoa No. 3B
Block; thence south-westerly and south-easterly by the
north-western and south-western boundaries of that block to
the Waingaromia River; thence south-westerly by the course
of that river to its junction with the Waitangi Stream;
thence north-westerly and south-westerly by that stream to
its intersection with the northern boundary of the Pakake-a-
whirikoka Block; thence south-westerly by the north-western
boundary of that block to the Mangataikapua Stream; thence
south-westerly by that stream to its confluence with the
Waipaoa River; and thence south-easterly along the centre of
the said river to the point of commencement.
Mangatu No. 1 Block, to the centre of the Mangatu-Waipaoa
Ridge Road, in Block VII, Mangatu Survey District; thence
north-easterly along the centre of the said road to the
western boundary of Section P', Mangatu No. 2 Block; thence
northerly along the western boundary of Sections P' and P'
to Trig. Station 131, Whitirau; thence along the western
boundary of Sections C2B, C2A, C1, B, A, and D', Mangatu
No. 2 Block, to Trig. Station M8, Tawhiti; thence along the
western boundary of Subdivision No. 2, Mangatu No. 1, to
Trig. Station M10, Tikiore; thence along the south-
western boundary of Mangatu No. 6 Block to the Opotiki
County boundary; thence south-westerly along the said
county boundary to the Kaitawa Stream at the north-
western corner of Mangatu No. 4 Block; thence generally
southerly along the eastern boundary of the Motu Riding
hereinbefore described and part of the north-eastern
boundary of the Ngatapa Riding hereinbefore described to
the Wharekopae Stream; thence north-easterly along the
centre of the said stream to the Waikohu River; thence
north-westerly along the centre of the Waikohu River to the
south-western corner of Puhatikotiko 7B1 Block; thence
north-easterly along the western boundaries of Puhatikotiko
7B1 and 6B to the Wheao Stream; thence easterly along
the centre of the said stream to the easternmost corner of
Poututu B6 Block; thence north-westerly along the north-
eastern boundaries of Poututu B6 and B5 Blocks to the
Urukokomoku Stream; thence easterly along the centre of
the said stream and the Mangatu River to the confluence of
the latter with the Waipaoa River, the point of commence-
ment.
WAIPAOA RIDING.
All that area in the Waikohu County bounded as follows:
Commencing at the confluence of the Waipaoa and Mangatu
Rivers, in Block XI, Mangatu Survey District; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of the Mangatu Riding
to the county boundary; thence north-easterly along the
Opotiki County boundary to Waiapu County; thence south-
easterly along the Waiapu County boundary to Cook County;
thence along the Cook County boundary to the north-western
boundary of Tutamoe Block; thence generally southerly
along the western boundaries of the Kanakanaia, Karaka, and
Ngatapa Ridings hereinbefore described, and north-westerly
along part of the north-eastern boundary of the last-
mentioned riding to the Wharekopae Stream; and thence
generally northerly along the eastern boundary of the
Mangatu Riding aforesaid to the place of commencement.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is Native land and is required to be taken for
scenery-preservation purposes:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native
owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared in
duplicate, as required by the ninetieth section of "The
Public Works Act, 1908":
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers
vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1908," and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
KARAKA RIDING.
All that area in the Waikohu County bounded as fol-
lows: Commencing at a point in the centre of the Waipaoa
River opposite the easternmost corner of Pukepapa E Block,
thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of
Ruangarehu Block to Trig. Station No. 116, thence along the
western boundary of Karaka No. 1 Block to the centre of the
Waipaoa River, thence generally northerly along the centre
of the said river to a point opposite the north-eastern
boundary of Hauomatuku No. 5B Block, thence easterly
along the southern boundary of the Kanakanaia Riding
hereinbefore described to the county boundary, and thence
generally southerly and westerly along the Cook County
boundary to the place of commencement.
NGATAPA RIDING.
All that area in the Waikohu County bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point in the centre of the Waipaoa River
opposite the north-eastern corner of Pukepapa E Block,
thence north-westerly along the boundary of the Karaka
Riding hereinbefore described to the confluence of the
Waikohu and Waipaoa Rivers, thence westerly along the
centre of the Waikohu River to the Maungamahaki Stream,
thence southerly along the said stream to the north-western
corner of Tangihanga B Block, thence south-westerly along
the north-western boundary of Tangihanga B Block to the
north-eastern boundary of Tangihanga C Block, thence
north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Tangi-
hanga C and Okahuatiu 1c Blocks to the easternmost corner
of Run No. 47, thence generally westerly and southerly
along the boundary of the Motu Riding hereinbefore de-
scribed to the county boundary, and thence generally easterly
and northerly along the Cook County boundary to the place
of commencement.
MANGATU RIDING.
All that area in the Waikohu County bounded as follows:
Commencing at the confluence of the Waipaoa and Mangatu
Rivers, in Block XI, Mangatu Survey District; thence
northerly along the course of the Waipaoa River to the
north-eastern corner of Subdivision 0 of 4, Mangatu No. 1
