IN pursuance of the powers conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
GEORGE BENSTEAD,
the Principal of the Special School for Boys, Otekaike, to be the person to apply for, receive, and hold, on behalf of His Majesty the King, any license or other authority required to be held or exercised in respect to a water-race from Newsome’s Creek to the Special School Reserve, being Allotment No. 33A, Otekaike Settlement, and the several works connected therewith held under any Mining Act, or any regulations made thereunder, in the County of Waitaki, as from the 7th day of July, 1909.
