Land temporarily reserved for Coal Purposes in the Nelson Land District.


PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a coal reserve.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 74 acres, more or less, and being Section No. 6, Block X, Matiri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by part of the road forming the south-east boundary of Section No. 4 of the said block; towards the east, south-east, and south-west by Section No. 3 of the said block; and towards the west by the road along the left bank of the Matiri River: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5320/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Public Hospital in the Nelson Land District.


PLUNKET, Governor.

Commencing at a point on the north-east side of the Burnett’s Face Road, distant 33596·6 links north and 92941·3 links east from the Buller Initial Station; and thence bounded towards the south-west by the said road, bearing north 34° 8′ west, 400 links; towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned boundary, 500 links; and towards the north-east and south-east by lines parallel to the south-west and north-west boundaries respectively: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5322/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine.
