All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, being part of the Borough of Hastings, bounded towards the north-west by the north-western side of Maraekakaho Road, from the western boundary of the Borough of Hastings to a point in line with the south-western side of Wall Road; thence towards the north-east by a right line across Maraekakaho Road to the south-western side of Wall Road; thence by that road to its junction with Southland Road; thence by Southland Road to a point in line with the south-western side of Murdock Road; thence across Southland Road and by Murdock Road to its junction with Riverslea Road, and thence across the last-mentioned road to its south-eastern side; thence again towards the north-west by Riverslea Road to its junction with Copeland Road; thence again towards the north-east by Copeland Road to its junction with North Road, and across the last-mentioned road to the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Hastings; thence towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Hastings to its south-western corner; and thence towards the south-west generally by the south-western boundary of the said borough to the north-western side of Maraekakaho Road, the place of commencement.

Special Orders made by the Picton Road Board, County of Marlborough.

THE following special orders, made by the Picton Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

PICTON ROAD BOARD.

Special Order 1.

THAT, for the purpose of paying the proportion of cost of construction of the Wairau Traffic-bridge awarded against it under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” the Picton Road Board raise a special loan of £2,500, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908”; such loan to be for a period of thirty-two years, and to be secured by a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Picton Road District; and that the cost of raising the loan and interest for the first year be paid out of the loan.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

PICTON ROAD BOARD.

Special Order 2.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Picton Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Picton Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for paying the proportion of cost of construction of the Wairau Traffic-bridge, the said Picton Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Picton Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

Special Order made by the Moa Road Board, County of Taranaki.

THE following special order, made by the Moa Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order in re £300 Loan, being 10 per Cent. additional on £3,000 Loan for Lincoln, Wortley, Richmond, York, and Davis Roads.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, being 10 per cent. on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by consent of the ratepayers interested, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of deviating, forming, and metalling the Lincoln, Wortley, Richmond, York, and Davis Roads, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable property of the Lincoln, Wortley, Richmond, York, and Davis Roads Special-rating District, comprising Subdivisions 4 (in two subdivisions), 2, 6, 5, of Section 179, 242, 247, 249, Block IV, Egmont Survey District; 231 (in two subdivisions), 234 (in two subdivisions), 235, 236, 237, part 232, part 238, 248, Block I, Huiroa Survey District; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 20, 214, 215, 216, 219, Subdivisions A and B of Section 220, 221 (in two subdivisions), 224, 226, 228, 227, 229, 230, 233, Block XIII, Waitara Survey District; part 212 (in two subdivisions), part 213, 218, 223, 225, 205, Block XI, Paritutu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed, in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908,” at a special meeting of the Moa Road Board held on the 15th day of May, 1909, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Board held on the 19th day of June, 1909.

Special Order made by the Motueka Harbour Board.

THE following special order, made by the Motueka Harbour Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

MOTUEKA HARBOUR BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Motueka Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,000, authorised to be raised by the Motueka Harbour Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the improvements to the Motueka Harbour, the said Motueka Harbour Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Motueka Harbour District, comprising the Borough of Motueka, the Motueka Riding of the Waimea County, and that portion of the Moutere Riding being the late Lower Moutere Road District, as described in the Gazette dated the 30th day of April, 1883; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was adopted by the Motueka Harbour Board at a special meeting held on the 19th day of May, 1909, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 17th day of June, 1909.
