Said for the purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee,
Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim the blocks of land described
in the Schedule hereto as "approved for settlement."

Proclamations conferring Jurisdiction in Bankruptcy on
    District Courts revoked.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Bankruptcy Act, 1908,” it is
enacted, *inter alia*, that the Governor may from time
to time, by Proclamation, declare that any District Court shall have
jurisdiction in bankruptcy under the said Act as and
from a date to be named therein:

And whereas by Proclamation dated the nineteenth day of
December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, it
was proclaimed and declared that the District Court of
Auckland, Gisborne, Hamilton, Napier, New Plymouth
burton, Timaru and Oamaru, Otego Goldfields, and Western
Otago District Courts should have jurisdiction in bankruptcy
under “The Bankruptcy Act, 1892,” as from the 1st of January, 1893:

And whereas by Proclamation dated the thirteenth day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and eight, it was pro
claimed and declared that the District Court of Waikato and
Thames should have such jurisdiction:

And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Procla
mations:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Go
vernor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by
rupicy Act, 1908," and of every other power enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby revoke all former Proclamations afore
said declaring that jurisdiction in bankruptcy, under the
said, and do proclaim and declare that such revocation shall
take effect on and from the first day of July, one thousand
nine hundred and nine.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
purposes of a Road at Westmere, in the County of Waimatao.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
has been reserved and taken for the purposes of the
Foxton — New Plymouth Railway (Brunswick Contract), and
it is expedient desirable to allocate the same to the pur
poses of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of
Railways that the land is not required for railway pur
poses: And whereas such land is situated in the County
of Waimatao, and it is necessary to take for the purposes of
the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion
that the said local authority can conveniently construct and
permanently maintain:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Go
vernor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon sec
tion one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority to me
(Governor) in that behalf enabling, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall,
from and after the date of this Proclamation, cease to
become a road, and that the said road shall be under the
control of the Waimatao County Council: And I do further
reby, as by the said Council in like manner as other public
highways are constructed and maintained by the said Council.

the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and
