Constituting the Town District of Hobsonville, in the County
of Waitemata.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by “The Town Boards Act,
1908,” that, where the population of an area not being
within there are not less than fifty householders shall be a
Town District: And whereas application has been made to me
the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned
and described in the Schedule hereto that the said area
area may be constituted a Town District under “The Town
Boards Act, 1908”:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Go
vernor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in me by “The
Town Boards Act, 1908,” and of all other powers enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
said area shall be a Town District, and the same is hereby
constituted a Town District, under “The Town Boards Act,
1908,” by the name of the Hobsonville Town District: And
in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do
hereby appoint a suitable day to appoint and elect the first
Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five
members.
SCHEDULE.
HOBSONVILLE TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Sections
B.I. 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, Parish of Waitemata; Section in
Block XLII, N. and XI, Waitemata Survey District; bounded
towards west and north-west, west, and south generally by
Waitemata Harbour; towards south-east and south by roads
forming parts of the northern boundary of Section No. 41,
Parts 2 and 3, Waitemata Parish and sections parts of Section
No. 43, thence by the last-mentioned section to the road
forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 42, thence west
by Section No. 41, Parish of Waipareira; to the road forming
part of its northern boundary, crossing that road, and thence
by that road to Waikokia Creek and place of commencement.
Given under the Hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and
his Executive Council, at the Government House,
Wellington, this twenty-second day of May, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and nine.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section seventy-seven of “The Local
Bodies Loans Act, 1908,” it is, amongst other
things, provided that where any moneys are payable by the
Crown to any local authority, and it is in the opinion of the
necessary that the said block be proclaimed as set apart for
settlement: And whereas by section seven and thirty-eight
eight of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the
Minister of Finance may from time to time, in accordance
with sections seventy-five to seventy-seven of the last-
mentioned Act, issue and apply moneys as therein men
tioned for the purposes therein set forth of settlement: And
national endowment land: And whereas the blocks of land
mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
conferred by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, and all
other power and authority enabling me in this behalf
ERRATA.—In the notice of promotions of Volunteer Officers (Major A. Bell) published in New Zealand Gazette No. 36,
dated 27th May, 1909, page 1424, for “New Zealand Permanent Force” read “New Zealand Staff Corps.” In the notice “Award of
Auckland Mounted Rifle Volunteers,” in the notice of “Award of Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long-Service Medal”
published in New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of 10th June, 1909, page 1588, for “No. 322, Private Harry Henry,” read
“No. 333, Private Henry Harry.”
