PURSUANT to "The Mining Act, 1908," the undersigned, Francis Cosgrove, of Gibbston, Otago, Miner and Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Commencing at a point in Cosgrove Brothers' Water-race, held under License No. 927, dated 15th December, 1908, at a point distant about two miles from the intake or head of such race, running through James Whelan's leasehold land for about 100 yards, thence through my leasehold land, and terminating near my residence, at Gibbston, including a strip of land of 10 ft. on each side of the branch race applied for for maintenance and repairs. The branch race applied for has been in constant use by me for about thirty years, and is still used by me.
