Wairoa and Moturoa Road Boards and the Patea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the gap between the Mangitangi and Okotuku Roads by acquiring the land necessary for such purpose, fencing and forming a road and rendering the same fit for traffic, the said Okotuku Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special district in the Okotuku Road Board District called “The Okotuku Special-rating District,” comprising all those sections and parts of sections of land bounded on the north by boundary between Wellington and Taranaki Land Districts, on the west by the Kohi Stream, on the south by the Mangapouta Stream, on the east by Okotuku Road, as per Schedule hereunder—

and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest to be paid on such loan being at the rate of £3 10s. per centum per annum; and that the costs of raising such loan and interest for the first year be paid out of the loan-moneys.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

WAIROA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order making Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Wairoa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £308, being part of a joint loan of £1,200, authorised to be raised by the Wairoa Road Board in conjunction with the Okutuku and Moturoa Road Boards and the Patea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the gap between the Mangitangi and Okotuku Roads by acquiring the land necessary for such purpose, fencing and forming a road and rendering the same fit for traffic, the said Wairoa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special district in the Wairoa Road Board District called “The Okotutu Special-rating District,” comprising all that part of the Waverley Riding of the Patea County and bounded as follows—commencing at the point where the confiscation-line crosses the Whenuakura River; thence south-easterly along the confiscation-line to the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block XII, Opaku Survey District; thence south-easterly along said eastern boundary of Section 6 to the Omahine Stream; thence south-westerly and southerly along the Omahine Stream to the northern boundary of Section 5, Block XVI, Opaku Survey District; thence westerly along the said northern boundary of Section 5 to the Moturoa Road; thence southerly along the Moturoa Road to the easternmost boundary of Section 9, Block XVI, Opaku Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 9 and of Section 10, Block XVI, Opaku Survey District, to the boundary between the Wellington and Taranaki Provincial Districts; thence south-westerly along the said provincial boundary to the Kohi Stream; thence generally northerly along the Kohi Stream to the southern boundary of Section 458, Block XVI, Opaku Survey District; thence north-westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 458 to the Okahutiria Road; thence generally northerly along the Okahutiria Road to the southern boundary of Section 5, Block XV, Opaku Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 5 to the Whenuakura River; thence generally in a northerly direction along the Whenuakura River to the confiscation-line, the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest to be paid on such loan being at the rate of £3 10s. per centum per annum; and that the cost of raising such loan and interest for the first year be paid out of the loan-moneys.

Special Order made by the Hungahunga Drainage Board.

THE following special order, made by the Hungahunga Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, from the Minister of Finance for a period of forty-one years at 3½ per cent. per annum for the further construction of drainage-works for the drainage of the Hungahunga Drainage District, the said Hungahunga Drainage Board doth hereby make and levy a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Hungahunga Drainage District, comprising all the lands within the gazetted extended boundaries thereof, as set forth and contained in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19, page 845, 12th March, 1908; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Thomas Hanna, Chairman of the Hungahunga Drainage Board, do hereby certify that the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Hungahunga Drainage Board held on the 5th day of December, 1908, and was duly confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Board held on the 9th day of January, 1909:
