the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
comprised in the Borough of Hokitika; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of forty-one years until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made at a
special meeting of the Hokitika Borough Council held on
the 11th day of December, 1908, and confirmed at a special
meeting of the said Council held on the 8th day of January,
1909.

Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the
Hokitika Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Hokitika
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of establishing an abattoir for the Borough of
Hokitika and district, the said Hokitika Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised in
the Borough of Hokitika; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the
1st day of October in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years until the
loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made at
a special meeting of the Hokitika Borough Council held on
the 11th day of December, 1908, and confirmed at a special
meeting of the said Council held on the 8th day of January,

the said work), the said Hokitika Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property comprised in the
Borough of Hokitika; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the
1st day of October in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years until the
loan is fully paid off.
