  1. For preparing the defaulters’ list and the rolls for ridings within the County of Cheviot: Until the 22nd day of June, 1909.

  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 28th day of June, 1909, to the 15th day of July, 1909.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 31st day of July, 1909.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 20th day of August, 1909.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 1st day of September, 1909.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Kawhia, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in “The Counties Act, 1908,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said “Counties Act, 1908,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

Government Guarantee of a Loan for £5,000 to Build a Town Hall, applied for by the Cambridge Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of June, 1909.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Cambridge Borough Council has made application to the Minister of Finance for a Government guarantee of a loan of five thousand pounds for the purpose of erecting a Town Hall, pursuant to section three of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908”:

And whereas the Minister of Finance is satisfied that a special rate has been made sufficient to pay the sinking fund, interest, and other charges in respect of the said loan, and that the said Council is duly empowered to raise such loan, and has taken all the necessary steps to obtain the same, as required by section seven of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908,” doth hereby guarantee the said loan, subject to the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908.”

Government Guarantee of a Loan for £3,500 to pay off a Loan of a Similar Amount which was raised to build a Town Hall, &c., applied for by the Port Chalmers Borough Council.

WHEREAS the Port Chalmers Borough Council has made application to the Minister of Finance for a Government guarantee of a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of paying off a loan of a similar amount which was raised to build a Town Hall, &c., pursuant to section three of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908”:
