Subdivision 2, Block III, Hawera Survey District, thence easterly generally along part of the north-western boundary of Subdivision 1, Block VII, Hawera Survey District, to the westernmost corner of Section 6, Block III, Hawera Survey District, being a distance of 2 miles 24 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 777, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of Rainy River Road, in the Waimea County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1909.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road known as the Rainy River Road, in the Nelson Land District, in the Waimea County, commencing on the western bank of the Motupiko River, near the north-eastern corner of Section 12, Block XVI, Tadmor Survey District, and proceeding thence in a southerly direction through the said Section 12 and part of Section 11, Block XVI, Tadmor Survey District, and terminating at a point about 24·69 chains south of the boundary-line between the said Sections 12 and 11, being a distance of 1 mile 21 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 3522, and coloured red, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Declaring Roads in the Glenham Settlement, Southland County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of April, 1909.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.


SCHEDULE.

GLENHAM SETTLEMENT ROADS.

ALL that road commencing at junction of main road near south-east corner of Section 28A, Glenham Settlement, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction generally to the north-east corner of Section 30A of the said settlement, thence in a southerly direction generally to its junction with the Wyndham Valley Road, being a distance of about one mile and a half.

Also all that road commencing at its junction with the road at north-east corner of Section 30A, Glenham Settlement, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction to its terminus at the bank of the Wyndham River, being a distance of about 75 chains,

Also all that road commencing at the north-east corner of Section 5A, Glenham Settlement, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally to the Glenham Railway-station, being a distance of about one mile.

As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 4262, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring the Sherry River Road and Baton Road, in the Waimea County, to be County Roads.

SHERRY RIVER ROAD.

ALL that portion of road in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, Wangapeka Settlement, known as the Sherry River Road, commencing at its junction with the Wangapeka–Sherry Road, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction along the western frontages of Sections 33 and 34, Block XV, Wangapeka Survey District, and 23, Block XI, Wangapeka Survey District, and through Section 27, Block XI, Wangapeka Survey District, and terminating at a point about 3 chains south of its junction with the Battery Hill Road, a distance of 1 mile 77 chains, or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 9120, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

BATON ROAD.

All that portion of road in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, Wangapeka Settlement, known as the Baton Road, commencing at its junction with the Wangapeka–Sherry Road, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern frontages of Sections 19 and 18, Block XI, Wangapeka Survey District, and terminating at the northernmost corner of Section 26 (gravel reserve), Block XI, Wangapeka Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 5 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 9210, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
