LEVIN STREET.

Also Levin Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the northern bank of the Jed Stream between Section 4, South Town Belt, and Section 1, Jed Gardens Reserve, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating on the south side of Ward Street, being a distance of 35 chains 50 links, or thereabouts.

FERGUS STREET.

Also Fergus Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the north side of Reeves Street between Blocks X and XIII of the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating on the south side of Ward Street, being a distance of 25 chains, or thereabouts.

MONTGOMERY STREET.

Also Montgomery Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing at the southern boundary of the said town district between Sections 1 and 2, Jed Gardens Reserve, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating on the south side of Ward Street, being a distance of 37 chains, or thereabouts.

BUCKLEY STREET.

Also Buckley Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the north side of Reeves Street between Blocks XXII and XVIII, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating on the south side of Ward Street, being a distance of 25 chains 50 links, or thereabouts.

HALL STREET.

Also Hall Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the north side of Reeves Street between Blocks XXII and XXV, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating at the boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 28 chains, or thereabouts.

HUTCHISON STREET.

Also Hutchison Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the north side of Reeves Street to the eastward of Block XXV, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating at the boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 28 chains, or thereabouts.

CARROLL STREET.

Also Carroll Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the south boundary of the town district between Park and Botanical Gardens Reserve and Block XXVIII, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating at the north boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 13 chains, or thereabouts.

ROBINSON STREET.

Also Robinson Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the south boundary of the town district between Blocks XXVIII and XXIX, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating at the road running along the southern bank of McQueen Stream, being a distance of 8 chains 50 links, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the north side of McQueen Road between Sections 40 and 39, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending northward and then in a north-easterly direction, and terminating at the northern boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 9 chains 50 links, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road (being part of Levin Road) in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the north side of Ward Street to the eastward of Section 70, in the said town district, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction, and terminating at the boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 10 chains, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road (being part of Homestead Road) in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing at the southern boundary of the said town district on the north bank of the Jed Stream between Sections 2 and 3, Jed Gardens Reserve, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a north-easterly direction, and terminating on the south side of Reeves Street, being a distance of 9 chains 50 links, or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the southern side of Reeves Street between Section 86, in the said town district, and Section 83, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a south-easterly direction, and terminating at the boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 2 chains, or thereabouts.

As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 10689, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured yellow.

ROLLESTON STREET.

Rolleston Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing at the junction of Ward Street and Fergus Street, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a south-easterly direction, and terminating at the junction of Seddon Street and Hall Street, being a distance of 23 chains, or thereabouts.

SAUNDERS STREET.

Also Saunders Street, being all that portion of road in the Mackenzie Town District, in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing on the south side of Cadman Street between Block XXVII, in the said town district, and the Park and Botanical Gardens Reserve, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and extending in a south-westerly direction, and terminating at its junction with Hutchison Street, being a distance of 9 chains, or thereabouts; as the said roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 10689, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Blackwater Creek Road, in the Inangahua County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of April, 1909.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

SCHEDULE.

BLACKWATER CREEK ROAD.

ALL that portion of road in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, known as the Blackwater Creek Road, commencing at a point opposite Loyd’s Hotel, 17 chains, more or less, south-east of the south-eastern corner of Section 14 (recreation reserve), in Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction through Crown lands in Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District; thence through Block IX, Waitahu Survey District; thence through the recently surveyed Blackwater Township, in Block IX, Waitahu Survey District, to eastern boundary of Dunn Street, Blackwater Township, in Block IX, Waitahu Survey District; a distance of 3 miles 40 chains, more or less: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7809, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and coloured red thereon, and marked A.B.
