WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,700, authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of drainage-works for the borough, such drainage-works to include the purchase of all necessary material and incident requirements connected with the said works, the laying of mains and insertion of all necessary fittings, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907”); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be £3 10s. per centum per annum.

The above resolution was passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council held Thursday, the 18th day of February, 1909, and confirmed at a special meeting held Monday, the 22nd day of March, 1909.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of Section No. 37 and part Section No. 38, Block 16, Waipawa, and building situate on Section No. 37, known as the Odd Fellows’ Hall, and for rebuilding a portion of the said hall, and adding thereto a building to contain Borough Offices, Council Chambers, and Public Library, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 15d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907”); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

for the purchase of gas-mains, street-lamps, and requisite fittings thereto, and all other necessary material, plant, and machinery for gasworks, for the erection of gasworks buildings, manager’s cottage, and plant, and the laying of mains, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 45d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907”); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council held Thursday, the 18th day of February, 1909, and confirmed at a special meeting held on Monday, the 22nd day of March, 1909.

Special Order made by the Lethbridge Town Board.

The following special order, made by the Lethbridge Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

LETHBRIDGE TOWN BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Lethbridge Town Board doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Lethbridge Town Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” for the following works—(1) a loan of £97 for the construction of a concrete culvert on the main trunk road within the Lethbridge Town District; (2) a loan of £37 for the construction of a concrete culvert on the main trunk road within the Lethbridge Town District; (3) a loan of £166 for the construction of 30 chains concrete kerbing and channelling in the Township of Turakina—the said Lethbridge Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation (annual value) of all rateable property of the Lethbridge Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, for a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the late of 3½ per cent. per annum.

I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Lethbridge Town Board, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Lethbridge Town Board held on the 2nd day of March, 1909, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Lethbridge Town Board held on the 31st day of March, 1909.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Lethbridge Town Board has been hereunto affixed.
