Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Sumner.

The Treasury,
Wellington, 31st March, 1909.

THE following special order, made by the Sumner Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Sumner Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of draining the main road, forming and metalling roads, forming, kerbing, and screening footways, paying off crushing plant, &c., the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Sumner; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Sumner Borough Council held on the 19th day of February, 1909, and confirmed at a subsequent special meeting of the said Council held on the 25th day of March, 1909.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Sumner was hereunto affixed in accordance with the special order so made by the Council on the 25th day of March, 1909.

Special Orders made by the Council of the County of Pahiatua.

THE following special orders, made by the Pahiatua County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order authorising the Raising of a Loan.

THAT the Pahiatua County Council authorise the raising of a loan of £150, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act Amendment Act, 1908,” for the metalling of the Kopikopiko Road, the work to be done in conjunction with a loan raised by the Eketahuna County Council, together with a Government subsidy.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Pahiatua County Council on the 6th February, 1909, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council on the 6th March, 1909.

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order striking Special Rate.—Loan No. 81.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Pahiatua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling a portion of the Kopikopiko Road, the said Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property of the Kopikopiko Special-rating Area, comprising parts of Sections 8, 9, 13, and 21, Block XIII, Mangahao Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent. per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Pahiatua County Council on the 6th February, 1909, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council on the 6th March, 1909.

Special Orders made by the Council of the Borough of Waipawa.

THE following special orders, made by the Waipawa Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £900, authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for extending the present borough water-supply to Richmond Park (the proposed extension being about 100 chains in length), the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907”); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be £3 10s. per centum per annum.

The above resolution was passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council held Thursday, the 18th day of February, 1909, and confirmed at a special meeting held Monday, the 22nd day of March, 1909.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for deepening the Waipawa Bush drain from its commencement near the railway-station to its present terminus, and extending the said drain from its present terminus to connect with the Waipawa River (the said extension being about 40 chains in length), the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907”); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be £3 10s. per centum per annum.

The above resolution was passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council held Thursday, the 18th day of February, 1909, and confirmed at a special meeting held Monday, the 22nd day of March, 1909.
