KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1908,” and amendments, the Kiwitea County Council does hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments, for the purpose of constructing a bridge and approaches at the Pakihikura Stream on the Pakihikura Road, the said Kiwitea County Council does hereby make and levy a special rate of 5/4d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Vennell Special-rating District, comprising Sections 57 and 59, Block VII; 60, 62, Blocks VII and VIII; 61, 13, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block VIII, Ongo Survey District; 1, 4, 5, 18, 19, 20, 6, 3, 11, 7, 2, Block V; 40, 41, Block I, Apiti Survey District; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, Pakihikura Village: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year shall be paid out of loan.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1908,” and amendments, the Kiwitea County Council does hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments, for the purpose of forming, culverting, and metalling about 66 chains of McBeth’s Road, the said Kiwitea County Council does hereby make and levy a special rate of 5/2d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Waugh Special-rating District, comprising Sections 60, 63, 22, 27, 56, 57, 49, 50, 31, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 1, 2, 58, 59, 54, 55, 47, 48, 51, 62, part 92, 79, 32, Block XIII, Apiti Survey District; 52, 53, Block XVI, Ongo Survey District; part 19, 20, part 19, Block IX, Apiti Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1908,” and amendments, the Kiwitea County Council does hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments, for the purpose of fencing and widening the dangerous portions of Kawhatau Valley Road (between junctions with Manga-wharariki and Totara Roads), the said Kiwitea County Council does hereby make and levy a special rate of 3/1d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Cliff Special-rating District, comprising Sections part 19, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 7, 8, 9, 10, 25, 21, Block X; 42, 43, 45, 1, 51, 52, 54, Block VI; 31, 9, 10, 18, 22, 16, part 20, part 17, 6, 5, 7, Block XI; 1, 2, Block VII; 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 1, 8, 3, Block XII, Hautapu Survey District; 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, Hawenga Village Settlement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special orders, made by the Raglan County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Waingaro–Tainui Special-rating District.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, being an additional amount of 10 per cent. on the original loan of £8,000 raised by the said Council, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of completing the formation and metalling of the Ngaruawahia–Waimai Main Road and improvements to the Waingaro Beach Road, which is not sufficient to complete same, the expenditure of the said sum of £800 to be allocated to the various sections in the same proportions as the original loan as above mentioned—a sum of £750 to be expended in completing the formation and metalling of the Ngaruawahia–Waimai Main Road (£250 of this amount to be spent in completing formation and metalling from Upton’s gate on the main road going south), and the balance of £50 to be expended on the Waingaro Beach Road—the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waingaro–Tainui Special-rating District.

The boundaries of the special-rating district are as follows: Commencing at the point where the northern boundary of Newcastle Survey District intersects the coast-line; thence along the said survey boundary-line to intersection of parish boundary-line; thence south along the parish boundary-line to the northern boundary of Section 216; thence east along northern and eastern boundaries of said section to Waimai Stream; thence along Waimai Stream to boundary of Section 178; thence northerly along north-western boundaries of Sections 178, 189, 186, and 88; thence east along northern boundary of Section 88 and south along the eastern boundary of Section 88; thence along the western boundary of Sections 221 and 195; thence south along the eastern boundaries of Sections 195, 222, 219, and 181; thence east along the northern boundary of Section 128 to the south-west corner of Section 26; thence along the western boundaries of Section 26, and northern boundary of Section 26, and northern boundary of Section 13, and eastern and southern boundaries to the eastern boundary of Section 128; thence south along the eastern boundaries of Sections 128, 124, to the road-line through Section 135; thence following road running south to the northern boundary of Section 218; thence along the northern bound-
