County Council, are published in accordance with the
provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908."

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.--Loan of £1,300.--
Waterfall, Kiekie, and Murimotu Roads.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows : That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £1,300, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei
County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of metalling the Waterfall Road from
the end of present metal to Mr. Varley's gate, metalling the
unmetalled portions of Kiekie Road from Murimotu Road to
foot of Earle's Hill, and metalling on Mangaonoho Hill, and
metalling the Murimotu Road from end of present metal,
about 30 chains north of Mr. Dalziell's gate, to Poukiore
Clearing, and from there about 30 chains of metalling in
parts to junction with West Road, and the cost of raising
the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the Poukiore Waterfall Special-rating
District, comprising Sections 1, Block XI, and 1, Block XV,
Sections 8 to 27 (inclusive), 30 to 34 (inclusive), Poukiore
Village Sections 1 to 30 (inclusive), Poukiore No. 1 1B
(304 acres 2 roods 16 perches), Poukiore No. 2, part 1 (27
acres and 20 perches), Poukiore No. 2, part 2 (9 acres 3 roods
23 perches), all in Block XV, Poukiore No. 1 1A (378 acres),
and Poukiore No. 2, part 3 (37¼ acres), in Block XIV, Sec-
tions part 2 (200 acres), and 3, 4, 5, and 6, in Block XVI, all
the above being in the Tiriraukawa Survey District; part
Subdivision 1 of Otairi No. 3 (200 acres), in Block II, and
part Subdivision 2 of Otairi No. 3 (400 acres), in Block III,
Ongo Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-
one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on
such loan being at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum.
I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangi-
tikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special
order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the
Rangitikei County Council held on the 30th day of October,
1909, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the
said Rangitikei County Council held on the 11th day of
December, 1909.

Okirae Deviation and Kauangaroa Road, &c.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,100, authorised to be raised by the
Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming the Okirae
Deviation Road from the foot of Beard's Hill to the Okirae
Flat, about two miles and a quarter, and metalling the
Kauangaroa and Okirae Roads from end of present metal at
Kauangaroa to foot of Beard's Hill, about three miles and
a quarter, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of
the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of ³⁄₅d. in the pound sterling upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Okirae Special-
rating District, comprising Otiti Block (98 acres 1 rood 27
perches), in Block XIII, Mangawhero Survey District;
Mangatipona West Block, A (419 acres), part D No. 1
(103 acres 1 rood 12 perches), part D No. 2 (50 acres), part
E (50 acres), G (217 acres 2 roods 13 perches), and part D
No. 2A (100 acres), in Blocks I and II, Wangaehu Survey
District ; Mangatipona East Block, part 7 (200 acres), 2A
(81⅞ acres), and 2B (98 acres and 20 perches); and Poko-
wharo Block, No. 1 (54 acres), and Subdivision 1 of 2 and
part 2 (216 acres), in Block II, Wangaehu Survey District ;
Omuri Hori Block, part No. 1 (40 acres), No. 2 (183 acres),
No. 3 (685 acres 1 rood 20 perches), No. 4A No. 1 (70 acres),
part No. 4A No. 2 (40 acres), part No. 4B (482 acres), part
No. 5 (200 acres), and No. 6 (320 acres and 30 perches), in
Blocks I, II, V, and VI, Wangaehu Survey District ;
Kauaugaroa Block, No. 2 (162 acres), in Block V, Wangaehu
Survey District; part Okirae Block (1,035 acres), No. 6
Ohaumoko Block (257 acres 2 roods 3 perches), and parts
Okirae and Ohaumoko Blocks (together 2,042 acres 1 rood
37 perches), in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Mangawhero
Survey District, and II, Wangaehu Survey District ; Sec-
tion part CCXLVIII (175 acres), in Block II, Wangaehu
Survey District ; and Sections 77, 79, and part 80 (90 acres),
in Block III, Wangaehu Survey District : and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of May in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the
loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows : That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £800, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei
County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of surveying, fencing, forming, bridg-
ing, and metalling a new road (to be called Nga-Tawa
Road) to connect the Calico Road with Main Street, Marton
Extension, and that the cost of raising the loan be paid out
of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of ⁷⁄₁₉d. in the pound sterling
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
Nga-Tawa Special-rating District, comprising part Sec-
tion XXXVII (344 acres 3 roods 24 perches assessed to
James Beard), and eastern part of part Section XXXVIII
(60 acres assessed to A. W. Fullerton-Smith), both in
Block XV, Wangaehu Survey District ; parts of Sec-
tion VIII, containing 92 acres assessed to Thomas Henry
