THE following special order, made by the Pukekura Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

  1. THAT, for the purpose of forming and bridging the Roto-o-rangi Deviation Road, the Board hereby authorise the raising of a loan of £80 at 4½ per cent. per annum for a period of twenty-six years, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest on the loan may be paid out of the moneys so raised.

Special-rating Area.

Part Section 225, 671 acres 3 roods 16 perches; part Section 225, 2,201 acres; part Section 225, 388 acres; part Section 225, 344 acres 1 rood 33 perches: all of the Parish of Pukekura, Waikato.

  1. That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of £80, the Pukekura Road Board makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the aforesaid special-rating area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

THE following special order, made by the Whangarei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

In the matter of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” “The Counties Act, 1908,” and “The Rating Act, 1908.”

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” “The Counties Act, 1908,” and “The Rating Act, 1908,” and any amendments of the same respectively, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Whangarei County Council hereby confirms the following resolution, being intended to take effect as a special order: That, as security for repayment of the special loan of £6,000 proposed to be borrowed for metalling portions of Main County Road from near the western boundary of Kamo Town District to Purua, in the Wairua Riding Special-rating District, the boundaries of which are as follows—bounded on the north-west by the Bay of Islands County; on the north-east generally by the Hikurangi Riding to the north-eastern corner of Section 14, Parish of Otakairangi; thence along the north-eastern boundary of Sections 14 and 13 of the said parish to the Wairua River; thence following the said river in a north-easterly direction up-stream to the north-western corner of the Kopuniaho Block; thence along the northern boundary of the said block to the boundary of the Papakuri Block; thence along the northern boundary of the said Papakuri Block to the Hikurangi Riding boundary-line; thence again towards the north-east generally by the Hikurangi Riding to the north-western corner of Section 18, Block VII, Purua Survey District; thence along the western boundary-lines of said Section 18 and the Maketawa and Tumahia Blocks to the northern boundary of the Rawhitiroa Block; thence by the northern, eastern, and south-eastern boundary of the said Rawhitiroa Block to the south-western corner of the same block, by the northern boundary-lines of the Nga-raratunua Nos. 2B No. 3, 2B No. 4, 2B No. 2, and 2B No. 7 Blocks to the Maruarua Stream; thence along the northern boundary-line of Section 139 of the Parish of Ruatangata to a public road; thence in a south-westerly direction, following the said road, to the northern boundary of the Maunu Riding at Trig. A3; thence along the northern boundary of the Maunu Riding in a westerly direction to the confluence of the Mangare and Wairua Rivers; thence by the said Wairua River to the south-western corner of Section 20, Block IX, Purua Survey District; thence in a straight line to the Turipukunui Block, by the southern boundary-lines of the said block to the Hikurangi River; and thence by the said Hikurangi River of the boundary of the Bay of Islands County, the commencing-point—and the interest thereon at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum, this Council do make and levy an annually recurring special rate of ⅞d. in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property within the said Wairua Riding Special-rating District as above set forth, such special loan to extend for a period of forty-one years, and such special rate to be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, the first
