Consenting to Land being taken for a Road through Native Land.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of December, 1909.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section ninety-four of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted that there shall not be taken any land occupied by any pa, village, or cultivation, or any buildings, gardens, orchards, plantations, or any burial or ornamental grounds, without the previous consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas a Warrant has been issued for the taking and laying-off of a road from and out of the land specified in the Schedule hereto, and it is necessary that the said road should pass through land occupied by a Native cultivation:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the taking, under the authority of section ninety-three of the said Act, of so much of the land occupied by the said cultivation within the land described in the Schedule hereto as is required for the purposes of the said road.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of December, 1909.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Pahiatua County, known as Central Road (Hall Block), commencing at its junction with Cross Road, near the centre of the north-western boundary of Section 29, Block I, Mangahao Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundaries of the said Section 29 and Section 11 of the said block and survey district, and terminating at a point about 1 mile 4 chains from its aforesaid junction with Cross Road; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 25495, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red, and lettered B-C.

Declaring a Road in the Hukerenui Survey District, Whangarei County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of December, 1909.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and three of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
