RICCARTON ROAD BOARD.
Picton Avenue.—Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, the Riccarton Road Board resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum and other charges on a loan of £360, authorised to be raised by the Riccarton Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and shingling Picton Avenue, constructing bridge over drain, and the purchase of land for the purpose of extending the said Picton Avenue to Foster’s Road and expenses in acquiring same, the said Riccarton Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/16d. in the pound upon the rateable value of rateable property having a frontage to Picton Avenue and extension thereof, being part of Rural Section No. 155, comprising Lots Nos. 1 to 3, 5, 6, 19 to 21, 35 to 39, 54 to 57, 71 to 75, 89 to 93, 107 to 112, 121 to 124, and 137 to 160 (all inclusive), as shown on deposit plan No. 552, also part of Rural Section No. 145, comprising Lots Nos. 9, 10, 12, 12A, 13, 13A, 36 to 44 (all inclusive), as shown on deposit plan No. 242, in Block XI of the Christchurch Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Channelling Rural Section No. 155.—Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, the Riccarton Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Riccarton Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing concrete channels and other works incidental thereto on the roads and streets bounding and running through Rural Section No. 155, and the extension of Picton Avenue to Foster’s Road through Rural Section No. 145, and preliminary expenses in raising the loan, the said Riccarton Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of rateable properties on the whole of Rural Section No. 155, and that portion Rural Section No. 145 comprising Lots Nos. 9, 10, 12, 12A, 13, 13A, and 36 to 44 (all inclusive), as shown on deposit plan No. 242, in Block XI of the Christchurch Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT the Ekatahuna Borough Council do make the following special order making a special rate:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Ekatahuna Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing an electric-light plant in the borough to light the public streets and places, and to supply electricity to the inhabitants for lighting and motive purposes, the said Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Ekatahuna, as defined in the Schedule to “The Ekatahuna Borough Act, 1906”; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty-one years, until the 1st day of February, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Ekatahuna was affixed hereto in pursuance of a resolution of the said Council passed on the 30th day of November, 1908, in the presence of—

THAT, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, for the formation of a road through Waitahuna East, Hillend, and Table Hill Survey Districts to Manuka Creek Railway-station, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of that portion of Balmoral and Mount Stuart Ridings, comprising Sections 14, 15, Block XI, Waitahuna East, and Sections 15, 19, Block VIII, Sections 6, 9, Block IX, Hillend Survey Districts; Lot 1A, Barnego Settlement; Lots 22, part 22, Manuka Island Estate; Lots 4, 6, 8, 9A, 10, 13, Roxburgh Estate; Lots 19, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, Blackburn Settlement: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, and the interest to be at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum.
