Field Engineer Volunteers.
Regulation 416. All non-commissioned officers and men who pass a qualifying examination as under will be classified and awarded proficiency badges, certificates, and personal payments of £1 per annum:—

Non-commissioned officers must obtain 80 per cent. in order to qualify for certificate, badge, and payment.
Non-commissioned officers or men qualifying in field engineering will not be eligible for certificate, badge, or personal payment in any other subject for the same year, but those qualifying in “Field Telegraphy” and “Signalling” will be eligible for certificate, badge, or personal payment in both these subjects.
The conditions for examination and syllabus for subjects will be as directed from time to time in General Orders.

Volunteer Regulations amended.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Defence Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke Regulation 3, (2A), of the General Regulations of the Defence Forces of New Zealand, as amended on the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seven, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect, and the regulation hereby made shall come into force, on the fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
SCHEDULE.
(1.) REGULATION 3, (2A), as amended on the 16th day of February, 1907, is hereby revoked, and the following substituted in lieu thereof:—
(a.) New Zealand Field Artillery.
4-gun Battery Establishment.
