Special Orders made by the Pukekohe West Road Board, County of Manukau.

THE following special orders, made by the Pukekohe West Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1908."

PUKEKOHE WEST ROAD BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," the Pukekohe West Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe West Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming, grading, and metalling roads in Cape Special-rating District (such amount being for two successive years' expenditure), the said Pukekohe West Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of that portion of the Pukekohe West Road District (to be known as "Cape Special-rating Area") contained within the following boundaries --namely, starting from the north-eastern corner of the Town District of Pukekohe; thence north-easterly conterminously with the boundary of the said road district, thence generally north-westerly conterminously with the said boundary, and thence south-westerly conterminously with said boundary to the north-western corner of Allotment 7 of Section 4, Parish of Pukekohe; thence south-easterly along the western boundary of said Allotment 7 to a stream; thence generally north-easterly along said stream and a right line bearing 84° 44' to the eastern boundary of the Waikato Railway; thence south-easterly along the said Waikato Railway to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment 296, Section 2, of said parish; thence south-westerly in a straight line to the north-western corner of said Allotment 296, and across a road to the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 113 of said Section 2; thence north-westerly to the north-eastern corner of said Allotment 113 of said section; thence south-westerly to the north-western corner of Lot 114 of said Section 2; thence south-easterly to the western corner of Allotment 49 of Section 1 of said parish; and thence south-easterly along a road to the boundary of the Town District of Pukekohe; thence generally easterly along the boundary of the said town district to the point of commencement; and comprising portions of Sections 1, 2, and 4 of Parish of Pukekohe, Drury Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Board on the 19th day of August, 1908, and duly confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 28th day of September, 1908.
