Level and undulating land, mostly covered with manuka and fern; about 30 acres good swamp containing some flax on Section 83, and some small swamps of similar nature on Section 84. Soil of poor quality ; sandy nature, resting on sandstone formation. Indifferently watered by swamps. Situated half a mile from Marsden Point Post-office and wharf by good road.

Undulating to broken land; about 100 acres mixed forest, comprising kauri, totara, rimu, birch, tawa, taraire, towai, and other soft woods, with undergrowth of supplejack, kiekie, and ferns. Soil a mixed loam and clay from fair to poor in quality, resting on sandstone formation; well watered. Access from Hikurangi Railway-station, distant nine miles by dray-road, metalled in parts.

Undulating country; about 80 acres bush cleared, burnt, and grassed, with excellent pasture; balance heavy mixed forest, comprising taraire, tawa, rata, miro, and matai. Clay soil of fairly good quality, suited for pastoral purposes; well watered. Access from Taheke, about eight miles by good cart-road to within less than a mile of the section, thence by good formed bridle-track.

Access from Kaihu Railway-station, distant eleven miles by dray-road.

Soil mixed loam and clay, resting on clay-and-stony subsoil. Distant about fifteen miles from Kaihu by dray-road.
