Undulating and level land, broken at south end; one-third forest, comprising towai, birch, rimu, taraire, with heavy undergrowth of supplejack, kiekie, and ferns; balance has been overrun by fire. Soil a mixed loam and clay, on sandstone formation; watered by springs and small stream. The general quality is fair to inferior grass land. Situated about twelve miles from Kaihu Railway-station by good dray-road and a little over a mile from Tutamoe School.

Manukau County.—Waipipi Parish.

Fronts main road from Waipipi to Waiuku, about two miles from Waipipi Wharf and eight miles from Waiuku.

Soil of medium quality, on limestone formation; well watered by streams. Access from Te Kuiti, twenty-nine miles distant—twenty-six miles formed road, balance bridle-track.

Soil of fair quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by small streams. Situated about seven miles from Opotiki—five miles by main road along beach, balance unformed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1892, and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and thirty-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
