County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £100, Lake
Alice Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1908,” and “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Rangitikei County Council
doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of
providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100,
authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council,
under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908,” for the purpose of metalling the Lake Alice Road
from its junction with the Bull’s—Turakina Road to Mc-
Dermott’s, a distance of about 50 chains, the said Rangitikei
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all
rateable property of the Lake Alice Special-rating District,
comprising Lot 4, Heaton Park Estate, containing 138 acres
3 roods 24 perches, and being parts Sections 6 and 7,
Block X; Lot 5, Heaton Park Estate, containing 115 acres
2 roods 3 perches, and being parts Sections 6 and 7, Block X;
and Lot 1A, Heaton Park Estate, containing 104 acres
3 roods 17 perches, and being part Section 66, Block VI; all
being in the Rangitoto Survey District: and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of
May in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully
paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 3½ per
cent. per annum.

I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangi-
tikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above
special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting
of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 5th day of Sep-
tember, 1908, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting
of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 3rd day of
October, 1908.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei
County Council has been hereunto affixed.

County Council, is published in accordance with the

KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Kawhia
County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the
purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan
of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Kawhia County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
extending and enlarging the Kawhia Wharf at the extension
of Jervois Street, Kawhia, and providing landing conveniences
at Oparau, Hauturu, and Kinohaku, the said Kawhia County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the
pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of
the Kawhia County, comprising the whole of the area within
the county boundaries; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The rate of interest to be 3½ per cent. per annum.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the Kawhia County was hereto affixed on the
11th day of July, 1908, in the presence of—

Borough Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its
amendments, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves
as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest
and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorised to be
raised by the Alexandra Borough Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply
for the domestic and general use of the inhabitants of the
said borough by the construction of water-race, dams, pipe-
lines, and other necessary works in connection with water-
race held by the said borough out of Butcher’s Gully under
License No. 1008A, the said Alexandra Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
Borough of Alexandra, comprising all that area, known as
the Borough of Alexandra, bounded towards the north-west
by Block VII, Leaning Rock Survey District, 11919 links;
towards the north-east by Block VII, Leaning Rock Survey
District, 7615 links; towards the east by the Manuherikia
River, 8800 links; and towards the south by the Clutha
River, 11000 links: and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the
1st day of July in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the
special order passed at a special meeting of the Alexandra
Borough Council held on the 18th day of June, 1908, and
duly confirmed at a subsequent special meeting of the
Council held on the 20th day of July, 1908.

In witness whereof we have hereunto signed our names,
this 3rd day of October, 1908.
