Special Order made by the Feilding Borough Council.

THE following special order, made by the Feilding Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

BOROUGH OF FEILDING.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and amendments thereof, the Council of the Borough of Feilding hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,250, authorised to be raised by the Council of the Borough of Feilding, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of swimming-baths, caretaker’s cottage, and the purchase of necessary land for same, the erection of public urinals, and improving the entrances to the town, the said Council of the Borough of Feilding hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding, comprising the area within the following boundaries—namely, all that area in the Land District of Wellington bounded towards the north generally by Section No. 184, Block XIV, Oroua Survey District, from its south-western corner to the railway reserve; thence by the production of the southern boundary-line of the said Section No. 184 to the eastern side of the Makino Road; thence by the said Makino Road to the south-western corner of Section No. 162; thence by Sections Nos. 162, 173, 174, 175, 176, and 177 to Reid’s Road-line; thence by the production of the eastern boundary-line of the last-named section to the north-eastern side of the said Reid’s Road-line; thence by the north-eastern side of that road-line to the south-eastern side of Kimbolton Road; thence towards the east generally by the south-eastern side of the said Kimbolton Road to the Kiwitea Stream; thence by the left bank of the said Kiwitea Stream to the confluence of the said Kiwitea Stream with the Oroua River; thence by the said Oroua River to the railway reserve; thence towards the south generally by the said railway reserve to South Street; thence by the south side of South Street to Awahuri Road; thence by the east side of Awahuri Road to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 85, Block XIV aforesaid; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of that section; thence by the southern boundary-line of the said Section No. 85 for a distance of 796 links; thence towards the west generally by a right line bearing 354° 11’ (magnetic) to the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 132; thence by that road to the north-eastern corner of the said Section No. 132; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 130, Block XIV aforesaid; and thence by the said Section No. 130 to the south-western corner of Section No. 184 aforesaid, the place of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was duly passed and adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on the 31st day of August, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 28th day of September, 1908.

Special Order made by the Moutoa Drainage Board.

THE following special order, made by the Moutoa Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Moutoa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorised to be raised by the Moutoa Drainage Board, under the above-named Act, for the construction of an overflow-channel from the Karikari drain to the Diagonal drain, thence to the Government drain, and along that drain to the Manawatu River, cutting connecting drain, erecting flood-gates at the ends of the Diagonal and Government drains, and all other works in connection therewith, the said Moutoa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/6d. in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the Moutoa Drainage District Special-rating District, comprising all those properties in the Mount Robinson Survey District within the boundaries of the said Moutoa Drainage District Special-rating District, starting from Section 421 and continuing along the boundary of the Moutoa Drainage District to its junction with the main Foxton to Shannon Road, thence along the said road to the northern boundary of Section 88, thence to the Manawatu River to the Shannon Ferry, thence along the Manawatu River to point of commencement at Section 421; excluding therefrom parts of Sections 251 and 258, and Sub-sections 43, 44, 45, and 47, on the plan of the Moutoa Estate. That such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of November and May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. That the interest to be paid is at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum, and that the loan is for two successive years’ expenditure,
