ELTHAM DRAINAGE BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the
Eltham Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for
the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a
loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Eltham Drainage
Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
constructing the undermentioned drains, watercourses, or
outfalls for water--namely, to make, construct, widen, and
(or) deepen (1) a drain, watercourse, or outfall for water,
commencing from the drain reserve on the south side of
Subs. 10 and 11, Pukengahu Block, Block VII, Ngaire Survey District, and proceeding northwards along the boundary-line between said Subs. 10 and 11, Pukengahu, for a distance
of 70 chains, more or less; (2) a drain, watercourse, or out-fall for water from the main drain running through said
Sub. 10 from a point about 10 chains southward of the
boundary-line between Sub. 8 and 9, Pukengahu Block afore-said, and continuing in an easterly direction for a distance
of 20 chains, more or less; the said proposed works being
public works contained within continuous boundaries of the
Eltham Drainage District—the Eltham Drainage Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3½d. in the pound
on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the
rateable property of that portion of the Eltham Drainage
District comprising the northern two-thirds portion of said
Sub. 10, Pukengahu Block aforesaid (178 acres); and the
western part of said Sub. 11, Pukengahu Block aforesaid
(108 acres 2 roods 39 perches): and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October
in each and every year during a period equal to the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the
loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan
under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is
at the rate of £4 10s. per centum per annum, and the costs
of raising the loan and the interest thereon for one year are
to be paid out of such loan.
Certificate.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting
of the Eltham Drainage Board held on the 18th day of July,
1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board
held on the 18th day of August, 1908.

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order made by the Bruce County Council.
INCH-CLUTHA EXTENSION LOAN.
THAT, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Bruce
County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, for the extension of
Inch-Clutha drainage-works, the said Bruce County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3½d. in the pound
upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the
Inch-Clutha Subdivision of Matau Riding; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, being for a period of forty-one years,
and interest to be paid at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum.

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of
the Bruce County Council held on the 4th day of August,
1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held
on the 8th day of September, 1908.

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the
Bruce County Council, under the provisions of “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, for the extension of the Inch-Clutha drainage-works, the said Bruce
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable
property in the Inch-Clutha Subdivision of Matau Riding;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, being for a period of forty-one years, and the interest to be paid at the rate of 3½ per
cent. per annum.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,”
the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the
Castlepoint County Council, under the provisions of “The
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming
and metalling the road down the Whakataki Valley, the said
Castlepoint County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the unimproved value
of all rateable property within the said Castlepoint County,
as appearing on the valuation roll in force at this date;
and such special rate shall be an annual - recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the above special
order was made at a special meeting of the Castlepoint
County Council on the 27th day of June, 1908, and was confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council on the 8th day
of August, 1908.
