Special Order, made by the Taranaki County Council, altering Ridings, and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Taranaki County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1908.”

COUNTY OF TARANAKI.

Special Order.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Council of the County of Taranaki doth hereby make the following special order and ordain as follows:—

Resolved, That the riding called the Omata Riding, within the County of Taranaki, be divided, and a new riding, to be called the Hurworth Riding, be created; the said Hurworth Riding to include the whole of the areas of the Carrington, Elliot, and Frankley Road Districts; the Omata Riding to include the remaining portion of the present Omata Riding—namely, the whole of the areas of the Barrett, Omata, Upper Hurford, Oakura, Tataraimaka, Okato, and Werekino Road Districts, and to retain the name of the Omata Riding.

That the Hurworth Riding be represented by one Councillor, and the Omata Riding be represented by two Councillors. That this special order take effect as from the 31st March, 1909.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taranaki was affixed hereto by the Chairman, Joseph Brown, duly authorised by resolution of the Council, on the 7th day of September, 1908, in the presence of—
