REGULATION.
ANNUAL SPECIAL LICENSES.
Annual special licenses, Classes A and B, may be issued for the carriage of cargo on deck, and the regulations of the 14th September, 1895, are modified accordingly. The master or owner shall make written application to a Collector of Customs for the license required, specifying the quantity and description of deck cargo for which the license is required, and the Collector may, after inspection of the vessel by a Surveyor or other officer approved by him, grant a special annual license, or for such less period as he may deem advisable:
Provided that a Collector may at any time during the currency of the license require that the vessel shall be inspected by a surveyor or other person approved by him, and may revoke the license if he considers that the report of such inspection justifies him in doing so.
Notice fixing Closing-hours of Clothiers’ Shops in the Borough of Napier under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the clothiers’ shops in the Borough of Napier, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed as follows: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 6 p.m.; and for all shopkeepers closing at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, 9 p.m. on Saturdays; and all those closing at 1 p.m. on Saturdays, 9 p.m. on Fridays; except Christmas and New Year’s Eve, when the hours shall be optional: And whereas the Napier Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the clothiers’ shopkeepers in the borough:
Now, therefore, I, John Andrew Millar, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1908,” do hereby direct that from and after the 14th day of September, 1908, all clothiers’ shops in the Borough of Napier shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Road through Maunu No. 1e No. 3 North No. 5a and Maunu No. 1e No. 3 North No. 4, Block XI, Purua Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was on the 15th February, 1908, taken and laid off in the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 5th September, 1907.

Notice of the Laying-off of a Road through the Kahutea Block No. 1, Block XI, Paikakariki Survey District, Hutt County.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was on the 23rd May, 1908, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 24th August, 1907.
