MOA ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above Board intends, at a special meeting to be held on Saturday, the 22nd August, 1908, to confirm the following special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges for a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Moa Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming and metalling the Surrey Road from Section 217, Block XII, Egmont Survey District, westwards, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Surrey Road No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 209, 210, 212, 215, 216, 217, 218, part Section 22 of part Section 183, Block XII, Egmont Survey District; 213, 214, Block XVI, Egmont Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, at 4½ per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. All expenses in connection with raising this loan to be paid out of loan-money.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Campbelltown.

THE following special order, made by the Campbelltown Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

BOROUGH OF CAMPBELLTOWN.

Special Order making and levying a Special Rate for the Payment of Interest and other Charges on a Loan of £3,000.

RESOLUTION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Public Health Act, 1900,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Council of the Borough of Campbelltown hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for constructing certain drainage-works, refuse-destroying works, and other sanitary works within the meaning of “The Public Health Act, 1900,” aforesaid, as more fully expressed in a special order of the said Council passed on the 14th day of April, 1908, and confirmed on the 15th day of May, 1908, the said Council of the Borough of Campbelltown hereby make and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the said Borough of Campbelltown; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Campbelltown was hereto affixed in the presence of—

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

TURANGA ROAD BOARD.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

I HEREBY give notice, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, that a poll of the ratepayers of the Turanga Road District held at the No. 1 Schoolroom on Saturday, the 22nd day of August, 1908, on the proposal of the Turanga Road Board to raise the sum of £3,000 for the purpose of improving the roads in the district, the following votes were recorded: For the proposal, 50; against the proposal, 12; informal, 1.

I therefore declare the proposal carried.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 24th day of August, 1908, a proposal was submitted by the Levin Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Levin for raising a special loan of £10,000 for the purpose of erecting and constructing municipal coal-gas works for the said Borough of Levin, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 148; against the proposal, 23; informal, nil.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

PELORUS ROAD BOARD.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

In accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Pelorus Road District taken on Saturday, the 22nd August, 1908, on a proposal to raise a special loan of £1,000 for the following undertakings — re-erection of the Kaituna Bridge, £750; re-decking bridges in the Pelorus Road District, £250 — the number of votes recorded for and and against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 71 votes; against the proposal, 10 votes.

And as the total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal is more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded at the poll, I hereby declare the said proposal to be carried.
