WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
Resolution proposed by Mr. T. A. Bridge, seconded by Mr. E. Long, and carried.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Waimate Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Waimate Road Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of metalling a portion of the unmetalled part of the Taikatu Road, the said Waimate Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Taikatu Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 5, 6, 45, 47, 48, 60, 7, 8, Block I, and Sections 32, 33, parts Sections 34 and 31, Block V, all in Waimate Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid is to be at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum. The cost of raising the loan is to be paid out of the loan.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Picton.

THE following special order, made by the Picton Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

BOROUGH OF PICTON.
Special Order.
Special Meeting of the Picton Borough Council held the 22nd day of August, 1908, for the Purpose of levying the Special Drainage Rate on the Loan of £2,500.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the drainage of a portion of the borough—viz., High Street, parts of Wellington, Dublin, Taranaki, Russell, Otago, Broadway, and Auckland Streets—the said Picton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the unimproved value on all rateable property named in the said special roll, and marked on the plan of the said borough; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate on such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The loan is for forty-one years, and the interest is at the rate of 4 per cent.

The above resolution will be confirmed on the 22nd day of September, 1908.

THE following special order, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, culverting, and bridging, and, if necessary, deviating, the Mangaehu Road from Mrs. Perry’s woolshed on Section 1, Block II, Omona Survey District, in a westerly direction for a distance of about 120 chains, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the South Mangaehu Road Special-rating District, comprising Section 1 of Block II, Omona Survey District, and Sub. 1 and part of Sub. 6 of Section 1, Matemateaonga Block (3,546 acres, in the occupation of Mr. W. H. Perry); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 4½ per centum per annum.

The resolution instituting the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 22nd day of July, 1908, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 19th day of August, 1908.

Special Order made by the Moa Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Moa Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that the above Board intends, at a special meeting to be held on Saturday, the 15th August, 1908, to confirm the following special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges for a loan of £110, being at the rate of 10 per cent. upon a loan already granted, section 68, “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and authorised to be raised by the Moa Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming and metalling the Johns Road from the Mountain Road upwards, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Johns Road Special-rating District, comprising sections—Subsection 5 of part Section 183, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District; Subsections 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, of part Section 183, Block XII, Egmont Survey District; Subsections 1, 2, 3, 4, of part Section 183, Block V, Huiroa Survey District; Subsections 6, 8, of part Section 183, Block IX, Huiroa Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, at 4½ per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. All expenses in connection with raising this loan to be paid out of loan-money.
