A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the section of the Midland Railway between Otarama and Jackson to take further land in Grasmere and Hawdon Survey Districts, in addition to land previously acquired for the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes herein-before specified.

Land in the Borough of Petone taken for the Purposes of a Public School.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public school at Petone:
And whereas the Education Board of Wellington has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1905”:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the said public school as aforesaid, and shall, as from the date hereinafter specified, vest in the Education Board of Wellington; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
