Special Order made by the Council of the County of Hutt.

THE following special order, made by the Hutt County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

COUNTY OF HUTT.
Day’s Bay—Lowry Bay Road. — Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows, viz.: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £150 (£10 per centum on loan of £1,500), authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening and construction of that portion of the Day’s Bay—Lowry Bay Road, situate in the County of Hutt, between the southern boundary of the Borough of Lower Hutt and the northern boundary of the Borough of Eastbourne, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the No. 6 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 33, 34, 32, 30, 29, 27, 25, 23, 21, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, and 31, Block XVI, Belmont Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, and being for a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Hutt County Council, duly convened for, and held at the offices of the said Council at 2 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, the 21st day of November, 1907, and was confirmed as a special order at a meeting of the said Council, duly convened for, and held at the offices of the Council at 10 o’clock on Tuesday, the 14th day of January, 1908.
And the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt was hereunto affixed on the 14th day of January, 1908, in the presence of—

FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in exercise and pursuance of the powers invested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” the Foxton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That the interest and sinking fund on the Borough Council Chambers and public library loan of £1,200 be paid out of the general fund.

THE following special order, made by the Kirikiriroad Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Kirikiriroad Road Board resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000 (for two successive years’ expenditure), authorised to be raised by the Kirikiriroad Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, from the Government for twenty-six years, at 5 per centum per annum, and that the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest be paid out of the general fund, for the purpose of roads-construction, as under — Hukanui-Claudelands Main Road in the vicinity of Kirikiriroad Station (three miles, more or less)—metalling, £1,200; Taupiri Town, Great South and North Roads, approaches and roads to new Komakorau Bridge and Woodlands Road (three miles, more or less)—metalling, £1,200; Barugh’s Corner, via Sections Nos. 66, 70, 72, 50, and 35, to Kenny’s Corner; also fronting Sections 74 and 77, Kirikiriroad—formation, cuttings, and gravel, £240; State Farm—Ruakura Station Road—formation and gravelling, £200; Taupiri—Hukanui-Main Road, via Komakorau School and Gordonton, to Clarkin’s — formation and gravelling, £1,100; Tramway Road, Hillside—formation and gravel, £300; Ngaruawahia-River Road Extension from corner Section No. 159 to Section No. 173, Kirikiriroad Parish—formation and cuttings, £300; Longlands Corner to Ten-foot Drain—formation and gravel, £350; Taupiri — Morrinsville Road, via Mawhinney’s and creamery—cuttings, grading, and gravelling, where procurable, £1,110—the said Kirikiriroad Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kirikiriroad Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off. That the rate of interest thereon shall be £5 per centum per annum.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made at a special meeting held on the 20th day of December, 1907, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting on the 17th day of January, 1908.
The common seal of the said body corporate was hereto affixed by special order.

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.—Pembroke Road No. 3 Loan, £1,220.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Manganui Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,220, authorised to be raised by the Manganui Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, grading, and metalling the Pembroke Road from the Cardiff Road westwards to the Barclay Road (the estimated cost of this portion of the work being £1,020), and for building a bridge over the Gentle Annie Stream on the aforesaid Pembroke Road (the estimated cost of this part of the work being £200), the said Manganui Road
