Declaring Waipiro to Mata Road, in the Waiapu County,
to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1908.

Present:

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waiapu County, known as the Waipiro to Mata Road, commencing at the Mata River bridge-site, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction to its junction with the Waimatai Stream, at the southernmost corner of Paraeroa No. 2, all in Block XVI, Hikurangi Survey District, being a distance of 2 miles 25 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 589, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Cottage, Station, and Aorangi Roads, in the Hawke’s Bay County, to be County Roads.

SCHEDULE.

COTTAGE ROAD.

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, known as Cottage Road, commencing at its junction with the Maraekakaho-Hampden Road, and running in a north-westerly direction to the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block XIV, Matapiro Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 2 chains, more or less; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 9541, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

STATION ROAD.

All that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, known as Station Road, commencing at a point at the southernmost corner of School-site Reserve No. 47, Block XV, Matapiro Survey District, and running generally in a north-westerly direction to where it strikes the easternmost boundary of Section 1, Block XIV, Matapiro Survey District, being a distance of 2 miles 46 chains, more or less; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 9541, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

AORANGI ROAD.

All that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, known as Aorangi Road, commencing at a point on the southernmost corner of School-site Reserve No. 47, Block XV, Matapiro Survey District,

and running thence in a north-westerly direction generally to the south-eastern corner of Section 2, Block IX, Matapiro Survey District, a distance of 6 miles 25½ chains, more or less; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 9541, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Additional Diseases under “The Orchard and Garden Pests Act, 1903,” and extending the First Schedule of the Act to include the said Diseases.—Notice No. 1175.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by “The Orchard and Garden Pests Act, 1903,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that on and after the date of the gazetting hereof

MELANOSE and
NARCISSUS FLY (Meredon equestris)

shall be diseases within the meaning of the said Act; and with the like advice and consent doth hereby extend the First Schedule to the said Act by including the aforesaid diseases therein.

Te Rapa Drainage District extended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1908.

Present:

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,” a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Waipa, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said area be included in the Te Rapa Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of such drainage district in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said Te Rapa Drainage District by including in such district the area of land described in the said petition and in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such addition as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN THE TE RAPA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north by Section No. 149, Pukete Parish; thence towards the north-east generally by the north-eastern side of the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 151, 152, 153, 112, 111, 109, and 110, Pukete Parish, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-west by the road forming the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 110, 109, 108, 107, 106, 105, and 104; and thence towards the west generally by the road forming the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 104, 113, 114, 115, and 150, Pukete Parish, to Section No. 149, the place of commencement.
