THE following special order, made by the Castlepoint
River Board, is published in accordance with the pro-
visions of " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901."

COPY OF SPECIAL ORDER MADE BY THE CASTLEPOINT RIVER
BOARD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf, under the provisions of section 3 of " The River
Boards Act Amendment Act, 1891," and all other powers
and authorities thereunto enabling it, the Castlepoint River
Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of
providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £700,
authorised to be raised by the Castlepoint River Board,
under the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1901," for the purpose of preventing the overflow of the
Whareama River between Section 794, Block VII, and Sec-
tion 287, Block XVI, Mangapakeha Survey District, the said
Castlepoint River Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of ⅝d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable valua-
tion of all rateable property contained within the following
boundaries, that is to say: commencing at the north-west
corner of Section 828, Block III, Mangapakeha Survey Dis-
trict, and proceeding south bounded by Sections 827, 826,
397, to the south-west corner of Section 398; thence by a
straight line running through Sections 179, 178, 177,
Block III, 176, 400, and 401, Block VII, to the point of
intersection of the southern boundary of the last-mentioned
section with the Whareama River; thence proceeding south-
wards by the said river and by the Makirikiri Stream to the
north-west corner of Section 190, Block VII; thence by Sec-
tion 816 to the southernmost corner of said Section 190;
thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction by a straight
line parallel with the south boundary of said Section 816 to
its western boundary; thence proceeding northerly by the
said last-mentioned boundary to the north boundary of Sec-
tion 391, Block XI; thence by Section 390, Block VII, and
again proceeding south by a straight line drawn from the
south-easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section
through said Section 391 to the north-west corner of Sec-
tion 404, Block XI; thence by the last-mentioned section
to its south-eastern corner; thence proceeding south by a
straight line to the north-east corner of Section 281; thence
proceeding easterly by a straight line to a point on the
Whareama River opposite to the south boundary of Sec-
tion 494, Block XII; thence proceeding north by the said
Whareama River and by Flag Creek to the crossing of the
Tinui - Alfredton Road; thence still proceeding north
by the said road to the south boundary of Section 124,
Block XI; thence by the said boundary to the Whare-
ama River; thence proceeding northerly by the said
river and by Sections 142 and 502, Block XII, by
Sections 503, 139, Block VIII, to the Whareama River;
thence proceeding north by the said river to Stilborn's
Bridge on the Tinui-Alfredton Road; thence still pro-
ceeding north by the said road to the Manawa Bridge, at
Grassendale; thence by the said Whareama River to the
south boundary of Section 115, Block IV; thence by the said
boundary to a point opposite to and in line with the western
boundary of Section 831 in the last-mentioned block; thence
by a straight line to the said last-mentioned boundary; thence
by Sections 831, 832, 834, 833, Block IV, and by Section 822,
Block III, all in the Mangapakeha Survey District, to the
point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing copy
is a true copy of a special order made by the Castlepoint
River Board at a special meeting held on the 23rd day of
May, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the
27th day of June, 1908.

Special Order made by the Oero Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Oero Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901."

OERO ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.

RESOLVED, That the following special order be adopted:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the Oero
Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose
of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £800,
authorised to be raised by the Oero Road Board, under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and
metalling one mile and a half of the inland cart-road—
namely, from Kairakau to the Te Apiti Gorge, in the Oero
Road District—the said Oero Road Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of ³/₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Oero Road District, the
boundaries of the said Oero Road District being described in
the New Zealand Gazette No. 42 of the 18th May, 1883, and
No. 71 of the 20th July, 1883; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June
and the 1st day of December in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years,
or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be
£4 10s. per centum per annum. The cost of raising the loan
and the payment of the first year's interest thereon to be
paid out of the loan.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
passed by the Oero Road Board at a special meeting on the
22nd day of May, 1908, and was duly confirmed at a meeting
of the said Board held on the 26th day of June, 1908.

Special Order making Special Rate.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the
Omaka Road Board held on the 26th day of May, 1908, a
resolution was passed,—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the
Omaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the
purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a
loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Omaka Road
Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following
undertakings—
