Fixing Date on which Returns under the Fire Brigades Act, 1907, are to be furnished to Gisborne and Greymouth Fire Boards.

PURSUANT to section 22 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1907, it is hereby notified that the returns showing the total gross amount of the premiums received by or due to fire-insurance companies during the year ended 31st December, 1907, shall be transmitted to the Gisborne Fire Board and the Greymouth Fire Board, in the manner prescribed by the said section, on or before the 31st day of July, 1908.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Hastings Borough.

Wellington, 10th July, 1908.
PURSUANT to section 176 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the areas described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said areas may be excluded from the Borough of Hastings and included in the County of Hawke’s Bay. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREAS PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF HASTINGS AND TO BE INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF HAWKE’S BAY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded towards the north-west by the north-western boundary of Section No. 3 and part of the north-western boundary of Section No. 2, Block XV, Heretaunga Survey District; thence towards the north-east by the present north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Hastings to Pakowhai Road; thence towards the south-east by Pakowhai Road to the southernmost corner of Section No. 18, Block XV aforesaid; and thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 18, 9, 6, and 3, Block XV aforesaid, to the place of commencement.
Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded towards the north-west by part of the north-western boundary of Section No. 20 and the north-western boundary of Section No. 19, Block XV, Heretaunga Survey District, from the north-western corner of the Borough of Hastings to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, and 29, Block XV aforesaid, to Maraekakaho Road; thence towards the south-east by Maraekakaho Road to the present south-western boundary of the Borough of Hastings; and thence towards the south-west by the said south-western boundary of the Borough of Hastings, to the place of commencement.
